Li meng's performance Zhao Xingtang is my favorite performance in the show. Like she is so underrated but so so good at acting. She is the perfect morally grey charcter here. I absolutely love her acting.

There is no misunderstanding tho. Lanxiang is just not willing to open up and give him her heart, not just because of the forced marriage but because of shen family. The Colour Grading and Editing was so bad that i am almost sure that they not only used AI for intro but also for production. Hopefully this flop makes them realise that AI does not belong in arts

If you are looking for a unique storyline i don't recommend. It starts unique and then the plot falls into old tropes. The acting and chemistry bw leads is good tho.

I agree with you about narcissism but the thing is that in most dramas these smls are potrayed as sad and hopeless in love instead of narcissistic. Here too the SML is potrayed as 'straightforward and innocent of heart'. I think the best way to potray this type of SML is how it was done in Road to Splendor, where his obsession was of course because he thought himself much above others and wanted escape from 'typical' marriage.

The drama is fine so far but i just wish the pace would pick up a bit.
