Title Melody of Secrets Spoiler
I have been holding back, but I seriously need to rant because after every episode I hope for things to get better but, without fail, each week this show exceeds my expectations on how bad it can possibly be.
Putting aside the fact that they somehow managed to make ForceBook look like mediocre actors (which I didn't even know was possible) and let's say I excuse the questionable plot and strange pacing too, but the characters? God, I don't even know where to start! Tankhun is such a flat character, Dao is so against Botpleng for no reason whatsoever except she 100% believes he's involved in the case, based solely on information from very early into the investigation (but really because it is convenient to the plot for her to be antagonistic towards him) and often times her reasoning is nonsensical.
Speaking of Botpleng, very few times I disliked a main character the way I dislike him. Nothing about the way he thinks or acts makes sense, he goes against his very own best friend's better judgment (I'm saying this because he himself doesn't have one at all) just to act all lovey-dovey and vulnerable with a guy he, quite literally, does NOT know - he knows nothing about him, apart from what's written in the journal, but that doesn't even count because that's not his Tankhun. He KNOWS that's not his Tankhun. He just decides to ignore all the very obvious evidence pointing to the truth (the lack of scars, the suspicious behavior, literally anything his top tier journalist best friend discovers) and instead believes what is, for all intents and purposes, a stranger just because he threw up after eating a cookie. His whole behavior and logic don't make any sense and are the opposite of what anybody trying to discover the truth would do. Every time he has suspicions about Tankhun it lasts two seconds. I mean, for God's sake, he even let Tankhun see his mother!
In the latest episode Pleng even said "I'm angry because you made me love you" and.. I'm sorry? What? Let me reiterate: They. Do. Not. Know. Each. Other.
How can you love a person you barely know? And why? Just because he's nice to you? I mean.. How much time has passed since they met each other? Surely not enough for feelings of love to develop.
Watching Botpleng is like watching those characters in horror movies that make horrible decisions which get them killed, it's incredibly frustrating.

The pilot seemed quite interesting and a lot darker as well, I was looking forward to this series but ended up seriously disappointed, especially because it is a FB series.
This drama is all over the place and confusing to watch: the plot doesn't make sense, the characters are underdeveloped and have no identity of their own aside from the role they serve to the story, which makes it hard to care for them and, in turn, to care for anything that happens to them.
Worst of all, despite everything, the whole time I had this feeling like nothing happened in the story at all and was left feeling unsatisfied after every episode.
I still hope things will magically get fixed in the episodes to come, but I highly doubt it.

This series is yet another example of how acting without consent is justified, romanticized and used as a plot device to move the story forward. The apology wasn't even an apology, but the audience is supposed to be okay with it because they're the main characters and have feelings for each other.
The amount of comments praising the way Queen practically devoured Bo with that kiss is honestly alarming.
