I'm sorry how is this romance allowed đ even if they aren't blood related it's still weird? WHY DO THEY HAVE…
Itâs not weird at all because itâs not like they were raised as siblings? the ML doesnât even know she is his dadâs gfâs daughter in the first place. Theyâre literally just schoolmates. To me, SAL is even weirder than this because of how they were raised.
Aside from the ML and FL stories, I appreciate that all other side characters have their own growth and journeys that was well portrayed throughout the episodes including Cao Ping and his sister. For me, thereâs no filler episodes. Though itâs not a fast pace drama, they didnât drag an issue/plot for too long, everything is resolved within one or two eps. Definitely one of my top cdrama this year!
wait ive finished the show but can comeone explain why siwonâs wish for her mother to die is granted while hye ryeongâs wish for the boy to like her back was not?
I don't understand why Zhou Jin should feel guilty toward Jiang Cheng. Yes, he worked as an undercover and put…
Same thought about SML, heâs selfish and has no respect to FL. Even quite rude to others as well, maybe heâs too used to being a âbossâ when doing undercover. Sorry to say but everytime heâs on screen I get so annoyed haha
putting everything aside, JBRâs performance is on fire đ„ Jiang Hansheng is really a complex character and itâs hard to pull it off without a strong acting skills. It could easily fall flat and unconvincing, but he acted so well and truly impactful
wait can anyone tell me if Q Yanâs twin is already died during childhood or is he the one that was shot by Hansheng? or it will be revealed later on? Iâm on ep 15 and confused
Whenever Qingyu's mom is on screen, I still remember her as "rice cooker aunty" in Reset, and I can feel a shiver down my spine cuz she's still as irritating as ever
what's your fav ost? I think this is one of the dramas with an unskippable ost playlist. Though "hao xi huan ni" is still stuck in my brain, my fav ost would be Willful and There Is You Amidst Raindrops
These past few days, I've been rewatching this drama and still keep thinking about it. What makes me so emotionally attached to it? I don't even know myself, my mind is preoccupied with all my fav lines from this drama. How about you guys? What made you hard to move on? And what's your fav lines/ eps/ scene?
I've so many fav lines but one that tugs in my heart was Sangyan's "No, I volunteered". Let me tell you, my jaw dropped, my soul left my body. My fav ep is ep 31 and my fav scene ofc the proposal (how can anyone top theirs?).
Slow burn but the pace is not slow at all, I usually watch dramas at 1.5 speed but I watch this on normal speed (although side characters' story are skippable)
Since this is one of my favorite tropes, I had high expectations for First Frostâand dare I say, it did not disappoint at all. From start to finish, this drama is a masterpiece. It boasts a compelling storyline, breathtaking cinematography, and most importantly, the outstanding performances of both main leads, Zhang Ruonan and Bai Jinting.
Without their stellar acting and undeniable chemistry, I donât think this drama would have reached such heights, even with the strong support of its original readers. Zhang Ruonan, in particular, completely won me over. She perfectly captures the depth and emotions of her character, making every scene feel raw and authentic. Not once did her acting feel forced or exaggeratedâeven her drunk scenes were naturally done. Maybe itâs because she lacks that "nasal" or "high-pitched" voice often heard in Chinese dramas, which makes her performance even more refreshing. Plus, her breathtaking visuals and big doe eyes made it easy to understand why Sangyan could never move on after all these years.
More than just a love story filled with fluff or overly sweet moments, First Frost is a slow-burn romance that keeps you hooked through its storytelling and emotional depth. Every episode has moments that tug at the heartstrings, making it an unforgettable journey. One of my favorite lines from Sangyan, "No, I volunteered," perfectly encapsulates his unwavering devotion to ShuangJiang, bringing their love story full circle.
ZRN as WYF is literally perfect and effortlessly beautiful. With simple clothes, hairstyles, and barely any makeup, yet still stands out and catches attention. I love her gentleness and her confused look at times, such a cutie
Whoever decided to cast them (especially the main leads) deserves a raise fr. How can they have so much chemistry without being in a relationship yet??? Aside from BJT who has always been one of my fav actors, ZRN really exceeds my expectations in all categories. Her eye-acting is so impressive, I can literally feel all her emotions from her eyes only. Her portrayal of WYF who has a complex past is convincing and makes me wanna protect her myself, she's truly a "broken soul". Sangyan, please make a move faster!!!
I haven't watched any other remake, so this will be my first time watching this, and all I can say is that Honami is getting on my nerves. The actress nailed her character. I understand Kei's feelings when he sees her; I couldn't help but give her side-eye every time lol
I think that's because most of the original translator has been protecting their work from any illegal reupload. So there is really no other place to watch with subs unless you find the translator's site, in this case is discord
