On When I Was the Most Beautiful Aug 25, 2021
If you're new to melodrama then maybe its going to be stressing for some of you, but I got used to melodrama so I kinda enjoyed it.
To make it simple, this drama is like :
long conversations between the characters and they always end up in tears or anger, just like that from eps 1 to 16. Most of the time, it feels like, whenever they see each other, they just keep talking lol. You need to prepare yourself to be frustrated haha

But what's good about this drama (in my opinion) are:
-The acting from the casts ( its actually hard to nail this kind of genre, but they made me sad because of their acting skills)
-The cinematography + background music (fits the situation, help the audience get into the mood)
-How honest the characters are. They never hesitates when they're curious about something, they would ask the person about it and they're also explain everything. I love how they speak their minds, so they don't have any regrets.
-characters' problems solved. They make it clear about everything

I watched this drama twice, not that annoying for me haha

Title Nevertheless, Spoiler
My first time ever to comment on this website

Let’s talk about this without fighting, alright? Lol

So, this is my opinion about this drama, I watched this drama without reading the webtoon and I started watching this without any expectations so I always try my best to understand every characters + writer + director’s perspectives. I personally think this drama is not really that bad. But ofc, this drama has many flaws.

The 1st one that I want to talk about is what’s bad about Jae Eon. Jae Eon never explains his situations to Na Bi. Remember when Seol A lied to Na Bi but Jae Eon didn’t tell her the truth? And when he got accused of taking other man’s wife (or was it gf?) ? It was all just a misunderstanding but he never tell Na Bi what’s going on and that’s why the rumor spread that he likes flirting around, that’s why people keep talking about him like that and that’s also how he got the bad reputation. He could’ve hung out with so many girls but when a guy hang out with a girl, it doesn’t always mean that something is going on, right?

The 2nd one,THIS IS THE BIG FLAW, no episodes where we can see Jae Eon’s full perspective. I really want to know what is inside his head. A little bit of his past, maybe? Like explain what was going on with his mom until his mom talk like that to him, or how did he end up involved with Seol A. When he met a girl in that bar and asked her to see butterflies, did he show her his butterfly in a private room, show her his butterflies photos and videos or did the girl say no? Why the drama didn’t show that :’) Maybe what obvious was the kiss that he had with this girl after the drinking game, which was before he asked Na Bi to see him.

Webtoon Jae Eon and drama Jae Eon is DIFFERENT, I read from someone’s post about it and I saw that webtoon Jae Eon shows no affections and is a walking red flag, but drama Jae Eon panic after Na Bi suddenly hung up, defend her when a senior talk bad about her, keep their relationship a secret because that’s what Na Bi wants, and he doesn’t hang out with any other girls when he started seeing Na Bi, yes he met Seol A, but didn’t they just talking when they met each other? Let me know if I missed something. Sol and Jiwan even try to encourage Na Bi to give him a chance because maybe they see nothing wrong with him? Like people said he’s bad but his friends are fine with him. He also got support from Kyu Hyun to honestly talk to Na Bi about his feelings.

Everybody dislike Jae Eon because he’s portrayed as a red flag from the beginning, because of the synopsis, the rumors that said by the students and because of the webtoon. When you watch a webtoon based drama, I’ll recommend you guys to start fresh (?) don’t think about the webtoon anymore, sometimes its not relate.

“I’m afraid people will learn from this drama that toxic relationship is okay” No one should learn from a drama. Especially to take it as it is. You have to watch and filter it yourself.

I feel so bad for people who watch K-drama but don’t know how to enjoy it anymore. Every time I go to this site, even when I visit another dramas, they are also full with bad reviews, yes the dramas got flaws, but they often put the good things aside and only focus to what’s bad about it.

Well, this post ended up being a story, sorry about that lol

And no I’m not team Song Kang/Jae Eon. This is just my opinion about this drama.

If you want to reply make sure you read all of my comments and lets talk about this really nicely lol(I saw people being aggressive about this drama lmao)
