This had a lot of potential, but the last 2 episodes lost me a little with that twist. I'd say it was a mediocre drama. If you're looking for something really dark and psychological, this is pretty average. There are way better J dramas from this genre. Got to give credit to the cinematography and acting though - they were top notch.
Why did Sou apologized to tsumugui in the cafe , its obvious she is dating minato and he said they shouldnt be…
Different interpretations I guess...
But yes, I didn't mean Sou is insecure. Sou probably felt sorry because he wanted to respect Minato and Tsumugi's relationship and not come in between given that he is the ex.

Because everyone knows Sou and Tsumugi's history, and how Tsumugi never truly got over Sou. There were comments made by their common friends in episode 1 that if Sou were to return, Minato won't stand a chance. They all think that she's too good for Minato, though I'm not sure why. Also knowing the fact that Sou broke up with Tsumugi due to his hearing loss and not because he found someone else probably makes everyone believe that there's still a chance between the 2 of them. I can't remember which episode but there were hints and some flashbacks of how Tsumugi was shattered when Sou broke up with her, and had a mental breakdown.
The teacher is pretty intuitive so I think he could sense that Tsumugi was learning sign language for someone important and not just a friend. We've not been privy to their lessons but I'm sure Tsumugi must have indirectly hinted at something deep / personal for learning sign language.
can someone please recommend me a jdrama that’s similar to risky? something melodramatic and complicated 🥺
Other than the ones mentioned, you can also try - Iribito Watashi no Otto wa Reitouko ni Nemutte Iru Enjiya Saki Ryu no Michi: Futatsu no Kao no Fukushusha Kaidan Botan Doro: Beauty and Fear
Minato , Hikaru and his friends met Sou after so many years, and are still processing the fact that he can't hear.…
But the friend clearly said that Sou has not changed, and it's like she'll call him and he'll turn around. So she didn't do it as a sign of disrepect. It was her own way of reminiscing the past. Yes, different people's reactions are different and everybody has been reacting differently. Tsumugi accepted it and started learning sign language. Minato is having a hard time accepting it and doesn't know how to deal with it. Hikaru is sympathetic but indifferent. The friends tried to make Sou feel included during the game. The only repetition has been talking behind his back, which even his sister and mother do. Most people do, and people who can't hear accept that. I have a friend who can't hear and even after so many years, sometimes some of us forget and talk behind her back, and then suddenly realise and turn back to her to complete what we were saying.
An uplifting movie with sincere performances by Ninomiya Kazunari and Yakushimaru Hiroko, whose characters will inspire you to live and face your demons. Highly recommended!
