OMG the Renai Mangaka guys hahahaha & Nagasawa Masami!! I think I last saw her in Wakamano Tachi which was like a decade ago?! Excited to see this cast!!!
Sometimes I wonder what is it about love that causes people to become so blind? A simple, yet controversial story for it's time, this had me guessing on how it would take its course, esp the scene towards the end when the FL awaits the ML., even though I had a hunch on what she would do. We didn't get to delve into the various characters in depth like we do in movies today, yet they were rather layered and interesting with the choices they made. All in all, I really liked the ambience and setting, the minimalist score, and the acting, which was very natural. A movie that I would recommend, especially if you like movies that set up the stage for an event towards the end (just like many classic stories), with a discussion on the characters' plight thereafter. Very Shakespearean in a way.
I am so glad I watched this as an adult. I don't think I would be able to appreciate it the way I did if I was younger. I can see why so many people love it. Even after 30 years, the drama is relatable and modern. The writing was A1, the acting was natural and the OST was just cherry on the cake. Each song / instrumental was iconic and so so well placed. Each time 'here we are again' by Cagnet played, I was so moved. Also, this was a really natural adult romance, which is rare these days. Kimura at his charming best, while remaining grounded <3 Nothing but love for this classic. Highly recommended for adults!
i loved it so much, thinking of rewatching (and im someone who usually thinks rewatching dramas is a waste of…
Same here! Btw, have you seen Sekai Ichi Muzukashii Koi? That's another awesome rom com that I re-watched recently and fell all in love with it again hehe
This is a one time watch to pass your time if you've got nothing better to do.. I watched it for the ML. I hope he chooses better projects going forward, he's got potential. Not a bad story but the FL's acting could have been better.
This was a feel-good, warm and sweet love story, filled with pleasant characters which brought me a lot of joy. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. Highly recommended if you're in the mood to watch something cute, yet educational and uplifting :) Also, the ML might be one of the sweetest and most sensitive characters I've seen in recent times. I fell in love with him and his character.
I loved the trailer. Can't wait to see Hikari, Takeru, Kaho, Mukai Osamu & Iura Arata all together on my screen. I mean like DAMN LOOK AT ALL THOSE TALENTED ACTORS IN ONE PROJECT TOGETHER!
