It came together all so beautifully at the end. I liked it. This was a very real movie that dealt with various issues such as betrayal, growing up and what it means to have a home. If you're planning to watch this for the romance, you'll be disappointed because it focuses more on the journey these two individuals take & how that ultimately leads them to home (each other). The leads have very little screen time together and while I do wish they had more scenes together, the movie did capture the essence of their connection with each other (even when they were apart). All in all, it's a decent one time watch (esp if you're a fan of the leads).
RENN AND SAKURAKO TOGETHER?! Hell yeah. This looks like a busy year for Ren, I enjoyed both his dramas. Looking forward to this (though the plot sounds cringey)
i downloaded the 720p raws from a torrent site: nyaa[.]si/view/1169394 (the uploader also included a link to the…
I tried watching E1 and had to drop it because the raws I got from Nyaa and the subtitles from raredoramas are a little off (it makes it hard to follow the dialogue) Guess I won't be able to see this :(
I always see you in the comments section of the J dramas I end up loving. Thank you for all the recommendations!…
The thing is J dramas are fansubbed. So I usually download the raws and get the subtitles either from the various subbers sites (which someone posts on every j drama page on MDL here) or D-addicts. If it is an old drama I can't find anywhere then I watch from dramacool. I've heard some people mention this website called AvistaZ but I've never used it.
Also, what's wrong with the editing team? WHY WOULD YOU SHOW THE REVEAL THAT SHE IS NOT A HUMAN IN THE NEXT EPISODE…
Yeah I think she's Kotaro's ex-wife too & Rintaro's friend as well (given that intimate hug). Ishihara is always stunning but in this drama, she looks so delicate and feminine like it makes you want to protect her. For me she was most stunning in Takane No Hana (but there she was as fragile as she was complex so yeah won't go on about that)
I was surprised the revelation is coming so early (and worst they put in the preview, like why?!).. curious to see where things will go with the whole relevation.
That clip of Nagisa in a dolphin outfit lol. Rintaro looking worried, calling Nagisa by her first name and flashback…
Rintaro is so tender to the people he cares about (case in point: growing affection for Mio) and can be cold to people who are cold to him (big bro). The way he looked at Mio and did little things to take care of her especially in E3 really warmed my heart. And I like that he's becoming aware of the affection (like he's not oblivious to it) & doesn't fight it. He's rather proactive about it, which is refreshing :)
The next epi preview looks intense with Rintaro kissing Mio & Mio telling him that she's not human. I wonder where things will go from there...
I am enjoying this more & more with each episode. I loved E3. The chemistry between the leads is lovely. My heart…
Also, what's wrong with the editing team? WHY WOULD YOU SHOW THE REVEAL THAT SHE IS NOT A HUMAN IN THE NEXT EPISODE PREVIEW?! I know we've all guessed it but dude that's a freaking high point. It kinda ruined my excitement..
I am enjoying this more & more with each episode. I loved E3. The chemistry between the leads is lovely. My heart fluttered whenever Rintaro looked at Mio, it doesn't help that Satomi is so so delicate and beautiful here. I love the little slo-mo shots they do when the leads are together. It adds to the enjoyment of the little intimate moments between them, & see the shift in their feelings for each other. Some very lovely shots of the leads in E3, nice direction there. As with most J dramas, I enjoy that they show the leads working & give us an insight into different fields - it's the environment and ocean here. It's an interesting backdrop because more & more wealthy people are looking into such investments with little consideration for the environment which doesn't just affect the creatures living in it, but has consequences for humans as well who will be greatly affected by major upheavals to the ecosystem. I like that they've settled into their pace. The brothers' rivalry / hatred is not as dramatic as it appeared in E1. They're not on talking terms but they are capable of being cordial. The other characters are likeable as well minus the intrusive YouTuber who deserves to be behind bars for stalking & harassing Mio. I wonder where they're going with his character. I hope we'll get to see more shades to Etaro & Mio's co-worker in the episodes going forward (they are super cute so far but that's it)
An emotionally compelling movie that was carried by great performances & beautiful chemistry between the leads. Yokohama Ryusei shines in this & how! He delivered an impressive performance, conveying a gamut of emotions through his eyes despite minimal dialogue. Yoshitaka Yuriko complemented him well. She was believable as a woman who had lost her eyesight & delivered a beautifully restrained performance (as compared to her last performance in Kiken Na Venus). I wasn't expecting to see Machida Keita here & as always, he never delivers a false note & makes an impact even with the little screen time he has. Highly recommended for anyone that loves a good romance packed with some tears.

All those moments with the 3 of them had me smiling!!

Guess I won't be able to see this :(

I'm super glad someone picked this up too. Can't wait for E2!
I totally missed your comment lol
BTW I just realised that the brothers' names rhyme. Rintaro, Katora & Etaro. Do you know what they mean?

I'll be happy to help!
