Like most commentators said, this was pretty cute and brainless. I really liked the story, but it just wasn't fleshed out enough given the short length. I didn't particularly like the actress playing the FL either. Having said that, I'll definitely watch it if they come up with a 2nd season.

It does... Sadly Taiwanese dramas are so difficult to access and watch for international audience. Aside from…
It's sad. But can't blame them either because Taiwanese dramas aren't as popular as they were in the early 2000s so many of the fansubbers are no longer subbing them.

This has to be my favorite Thai drama. The ML was such a green flag and the FL was such a golden retriever. I…
I just finished it, and I couldn't agree more. I loved everything about the leads, and the FL's family.
Also Hyun Bin's blue track suit will never go out of style <3333

Great news, everyone! Channel 3 has acquired the rights to produce the sequel to the novel "Matalada".
OMGGGGGGG that makes me so happy. I'd love to see Mata, Penneung and her lovely family again :)

I never knew such a degree existed either HAHAHA

To me, I love "To the Moon and Back", "Are We Alright?" and "Payakorn Sorn Ruk".
I will!
And there's nothing wrong with your English. No need to apologize :)

There was absolutely nothing to dislike about the drama. I loved it so so much. I feel a void now that it has ended :(

Rom-coms can be very generic, relying largely on couple chemistry to push mediocre stories or cliched tropes forward. Prima facie, this might seem like a done-to-death story with a chirpy FL and quiet ML but the execution and writing of our central characters (the leads, the FL's family, the second leads) is what made this such a breath of fresh air. I am not exaggerating when I say this, but this has to be one of the most well-written romcoms I have seen in years. I don't think I have loved a FL as much as I loved Mata. She was such a ray of sunshine, who made everyone fall in love with her thanks to her generosity, kindness and ability to love without judging. The FL's family, despite being transgenders who were shunned by society at large, never stopped teaching each other and Mata to be kind, to be honest to who they were, and allowing each other to make their decisions for themselves. I loved the ML equally. He was kind, introverted and soft. Not once, did he exert his will or raise his voice at the FL. The leads had the healthiest relationship I've seen in a drama. The importance of mental health and well-being, communicating and supporting each other, and being honest to yourself came through and through all the way till the end. I loved the development our second leads had too as they slowly learnt that they were destroying themselves in the process of competing. The ML's family also had a nice development, esp with the mum / dad. All in all, this drama was PERFECTION.
A big THANK YOU to the entire cast and crew for making this gem that made me roll in my bed and squeal countless times, made me ugly cry with the characters, and made me feel a little more loved and accepted. Thailand, please make more dramas like this. .

Highly highly recommended for everyone :)

Thank you so much for the recommendation! Can't wait to watch the other two :)

I am never going to watch any drama / movie he's in because I don't support rapists. Too bad for people who choose to work with him.
It baffles me how he continues to get work, while actors who did minor crimes and reflected on them get blacklisted and shunned.
Rape is literally the worst crime anyone can ever commit and do unto someone.

This is one of those dramas that lingers in my mind every now and then.. there's something so endearing and heartwarming about it that I can't quite pinpoint.

That's fair enough.
I wish I had as much clarity as you have. I watch just about anything without reading any spoilers.. so you can imagine the amount of frustration I have to go through with shows sometimes. I just can't bring myself to view any spoilers whatsoever HAHA. Good thing is I don't push through and can drop if it's not working for me.
