Shifu and his other versions are my favorite characters, too. I really hope shifu Si Yin and Ye Yin could become a couple for the drama's happy ending. I understand that in the novel, Ye Yin would end up with Ya Long but I don't like that ending in the story. Shifu is the one who suffers the most. After a thousand years with 6 lives (in the drama), he couldn't tell Ye Yin that he loved her or keep his "previous life" memory about Ye Yin, yet he still could find her and love her again every single reincarnation. He could finally said to her that he loved her for a few minutes in the modern day, but got into the fight with Ya Long and died. He couldn't even have an official date with her like Ya Long before he died. He witnessed their date in silence. Every single scene of shifu is so heart wrenching. He took my breath every time each version of his says goodbye to Ye Yin. It's so heart breaking! Hopefully, the director could make season 2 with a happy ending for Si Yin and Ye Yin, an ending is different from the novel. I dislike the novel's ending of Ye Yin and Ya Long.
