Was there not many fans at the airport for KHY?... sigh... 🫰🫰
I read that her agent ACOM had written in a fan cafe to encourage fans not to show up at the airport for safety reasons. That could be the reason why. Her YouTube lives of her airport departure had many live watchers which also showed her popularity, 11K live watchers on the Dispatch live stream is very impressive, Dispatch was surprised. In addition, some fans also commented that many of her fans are in their 30s or so and during the weekend, they may have family obligations, taking care of children, etc.
If you read the words the director said, it was not about making her appearance match the ages in the drama; it…
I have highlighted in my comment the key problem is how he communicated this in public in a condescending way. And other directors may have said harsh words to their actors but I haven't seen anyone commenting publicly like him and in that wording. The way he communicated was like she has good acting skills but her visuals is not enough. Maybe he didn’t mean it like that but that was how it came across unfortunately and it is negative for her image when it spreads. And that is why people reacted strongly. People can comprehend. Not only Knetz but also many of her international fans including me found that was rude. By the way, if it was just the styling, make up etc issues, he would not have scolded HY for that. That would be stylists and makeup artists’ job. Let’s assume that the director had good feedback whatever it was, again, his comment today in the press meeting was uncalled for. He said one comment but because it was not worded properly, haters can take that comment out of context and said negative things about HY, especially because of what you said about so called beauty standards. He may have said it without considering the impact but if noone said anything, he may say something about the next actress in his next project too.

First, yes. I understand good looks are needed for a rom-com, but they are all subjective anyway. I also don't know if the result would not have been as good if the director hadn't given her the feedback, so I have no comment on that. Hyeyoon was also cast by the writer because she matched with the character; we all know the character was created with Hye Yoon in mind, so there is no question about appearance matching here.
For the scene when Sol and Seonjae first met, and Seonjae fell in love at first sight, it was the other director who mainly directed the scene, and he focused on her smile, and he said Hye Yoon did very well in this scene. There are two directors for this project.
However, the visual improvement the first director mentioned was beyond this. Most importantly, his way of sharing about it is condescending and judgemental. I don't think I have seen other directors commenting on actresses' need for appearance improvement like he did in a press meeting. Also, even though this is a press meeting to share about the drama-making journey, not everything needs to be brought up, especially things that can be controversial and affect the actress negatively I'm sure they didn't talk about everything in their journey.. Knetz has beauty standards, too, but even they feel it is rude to bring it up this way.
Many are bashing the director for his comments on KHY's visuals on social media (twitter/X). Honestly, the whole…
If you read the words the director said, it was not about making her appearance match the ages in the drama; it was about making her general visuals more appealing to be a romantic comedy fl, and I think that is rude and condescending. In addition, commenting about her appearance in public is uncalled for. He has already made a comment on her appearance in the BTS and many people just thought it was a one-off. Hye Yoon is beautiful inside and out, she is also kind, dedicated, and super talented. She doesn't deserve to have her own drama's director commenting to reporters about how he thinks about her appearance. Professionally, it is uncalled for.
9.5/10This cdrama was realistic for me as not all love stories aren't perfect or about passionate kisses but about…
Yes, I think this definitely deserves more than 7.9. I rated it as 9/10. Please consider giving a formal review and rating to the series in the Review section. There are parts in the story that could be better executed but there are definitely many gems in this story. And the leads' chemistry and connection are beautiful. I also like that the characters are not perfect. They make mistakes but they take responsibility for their mistakes.
We don't address the haters much in this drama's comment section but to be honest, I've definitely been noticing…
Hm, I don't think you are terrible at all, it's only a discussion, no need for blocking or not responding; I only wished the discussion was more constructive. My comment, "From your comment, it seems you think people do it to counter the haters (which I’m not even aware of ) and ignore some toxic traits in the ML", is for you, I was suggesting maybe you thought that's why people took their time to rate the drama hence all the sarcasm. I never thought that myself, including now. My thought is just simply I loved the show, so I gave it a high rating. As I said, I didn't know there were haters. On Twitter or this page, I didn't see anyone hating on this. And even if I knew, that doesn't change why I rated the show high. I don't go to other places for drama reviews or comments.

I don’t want to deal with sarcastic comments and comments that put words in people’s mouth. When did I say people who give it a 10 don’t respect others’ ratings? I just think people who give lower ratings have different opinions and don’t like the show as much as I do. Their rating is as much valid as mine. Please be straightforward instead of being sarcastic. That’s a lot more constructive. I didn’t create my account for this by the way. However, giving review to dramas is not a priority in my life. And I don’t expect that to be priority for everyone either. Everyone has different ways to contribute to society and writing drama reviews is not something I prioritize.

Well, you don’t seem to think so (sorry if I’m wrong) From your comment, it seems you think people do it to counter the haters (which I’m not even aware of ) and ignore some toxic traits in the ML. Time is precious. I can’t speak for others but for myself who gave a 10, I just simply love this show. It’s not that complicated. All characters in this show are flawed, or very flawed at times, but that’s where the life lessons come from.

Have you considered that people give it a 10 because it’s a 10 to them? Everyone has different opinions. Nobody forced anybody to do anything. We should do what we want. All is allowed to share their perspective. Also giving a show a 10 doesn’t necessarily tell you what a person thinks about the main characters and their issues. We are not rating a character here.

Yes, I saw that popular dramas normally have like 20000-30000 raters. Anyway, you can always give the first episode a try! :) This is a rare one (for me) that I didn’t have to fast forward or lose interest.
Well that's the third 10 for L&P I've clicked where it's the only show the reviewer has watched...
Well, I’m not a regular drama watcher, however I did watch quite many shows over the year but I had never really felt compelled to write a review. This is my first time writing a review for a drama, honestly. There is a first time for everything! The show is that good, at least for me personally, and I feel a strong need to give back. Also I do feel a bit unfair cause this show deserves a better rating. There are other good shows that I watched but they are already rated by many people, mostly kdramas.
Hey guys, please take some time to rate this beautiful drama so the rating can go up! It deserves a higher rating than now. Also, if you have the means to buy the fast track, please do so to support the drama and the team's hard work. So that producers can see how much the drama is appreciated.
Baek yijin's personality has taken a down curve Yijin used to be a happy person in generalThe changes noticed…
I don’t think it’s a permanent personality change. He is going through a very stressful time, probably experience post-trauma disorder. This stage will pass and he will be himself again, stronger and wiser. No partner can support each other all the time, including Heedo. If we think we can support our partner every single time, we will be very disappointed. Sometimes one needs get out a low Phase themselves or seek professional help. Their relationship is affected by this but if their love is strong (which I believe it is from what 15 episodes have shown us), they can overcome this. And hope they will !
