yeah, sadly in this world, women need to act as 'girl-crush' where you need to be cold, rude, 'i don't need a man' to even be considered a good actress. and this happens to seasoned actress too, to the point when she's complimented she's asking what she's been doing all these year. criticizing is one thing, flat out hating just because she's a successful woman who happens to be very pretty is another. even the comment that you mention is 'tame' compared to those harsh hate comment that she's received all these years.

yup. i think that's also the reason why many directors and producers are praising her acting. even in her movie exit, her comedy scene is good, not overboard, and not fall flat. i hope to see her more in other genre, too because she's also great in big mouth. welcome to the club! 😆

she's labeled as romcom queen by korean media, and indeed she is! she never fails at doing comedy acting, her comedic acting is not forced, not too much. i've learn from watching some director youtube channel that comedic acting is not easy thing to do because you can be doing too much and too comical but yoona is nothing like that.

and this can be seen not just from her latest romcom drama king the land, but also from her movie confidential assignment (yes, it's action genre in general but park minyoung is filming a romcom action drama by herself and that's just how her character is lol) and her drama prime minister and i.

her subtle acting is also great. many people doesn't realize the art of subtle acting, but it is important too not to just do all out emotion in every single scene.
