@-pj Yeah, Zhang Linghe really does look like Sang Yan. His acting has improved as well. If he can pull this role off then this drama will surely be popular. Though, I kind of wished that Chen Feiyu would play this role because his acting his just chef's kiss and he is handsome enough for this role. But I don't mind Linghe playing it too. Wang Churan/Zhou Ye both are good choices as well. They are experienced actors and Wan Churan fits Wang yifan's image so well. I will be happy If either of the actors mentioned above play the roles.

@Titania Man, I totally agree with you. Being a fan of novels and manga, I have read both the stories and they are fantastic in their own respect. I would love them to have actors who can play the role skillfully and also fit the description. I absolutely agree with you about the casting. Dude, I literally love all the actors you mentioned.

I have too many expectations from this one since it's a sister story to HIdden love and most importantly, this novel is very well depicted. Though I m biased towards Hidden Love, I will have to admit that First Frost has better grammar and it's really nicely portrayed. Sang Yan and Duan Jiaxu are supposed to be two peas in a pod (regarding looks and their relationship). But they have their differences as well. One of the main things is Jiaxu is gentler, kinder with more softness in his face while Sang Yan has a rough kind of beauty with sarcasm, and ferociousness but with warmth around the edges. Afterall, they were called pair of handsome gays of Nanwu for a reason lol.

IKR! Man, I really loved the novel and the manga.

Duan Jiaxu but Sang Zhi falls in love first so yeah, this is pretty much "She fell first but he fell harder" trope drama and I really love it.

True that, I really loved the manga for the same reason and the show is really a good imitation of it with slight modification here and there. Maybe, it was the vibes or maybe the art or just characters but I loved it so much.

IKR!! I am loving this drama though there are slight modifications in some places but it's really good and Chen Zheyuan is so fitting for Duan Jiaxu like I knew Zhao Lusi would be perfect for Sang Zhi but I wasn't sure about Zheyuan until I actually saw him playing the role. It's really hard to imagine someone as charming as Jiaxu in real life.

It would have been amazing If Sang Yan was Fei yu but then again, he is likely to play the lead characters.

It's not wrong to post comments which are critical opinion but dude they are practically hating characters and whatnot.

Likewise, I stopped reading reviews after a while because they were so disappointing and misleading.

No offense, but you must be blind to say that. I can give a list of dramas where Fl is older and the comments are brutal and I can also give you a list of dramas where Ml is older and the comments are nice. You see, there is always someone who hates something. We can't stop that and most definitely not give the humans benefit of doubt as history has told us.

Same, I m not that interested in plot but I m definitely interested how they are going to make the drama look and I love both the actors as they are very much talented and unique in their own sense.

I dunno why I find Fl's daughter's love story more interesting than Fl's.

Damn, it's been so long since I last opened my account on this site. I have added ALSB to my list but it's still on hold as I love reading Novels way more than watching dramas or series. And as Science student, I have already got a lot on my shoulder.

I loved L & P for obvious reasons and I love their cast and story, everything about it. So, I really hope that ASLB is going to be as amazing as L&P. I will take you up on this offer but I really hope it's not a waste of time. If it is then I m coming to hunt you down, Just kidding.

I really don't understand how you think he has the ugliest haircut bcoz I have seen worse and his haircut is pretty average. It maybe coz you are biased towards his character. Though, I haven't seen the drama yet but I can't think of anything weird towards any character's appearance.
