even with hyeon around as a catalyst, he is still stiff af sorry 😭 almost ending and majority of the drama still leans heavily and centered on this jaepil loveline, yet he got no much role for female leads's development. at least other male characters play a part in female leads's ambitions plot / yeongrye asking the brother duos about law as she lacks education but she still resolve the problem on her own / jonghui with his criminal brother side by side with ko's siblings.
it is back to square one topped with makjang. unless they address the female leads dreams in the last seconds lol (which useless to me at this point).
what an annoying route, sad it is going down hill. the writer kinda reduce the female leads to “love rivals” rather than an individual characters who have ambitions. where is the first ep yeongrye and jonghui? can't even root for male lead because there is no enough depth to make me care deeply about him as more than just a romantic figure + sorry but the actor also really sucks, he better fits in thriller drama.
I did island hopping months ago and met local island kids, they were jumping and swimming into wavy ocean like a mermaid and here in the movie both Zhu Yilong and Wu Lei really remind me of those kids. From their body shape and their swimming movement. They must have done a ton of practice, respect..
