firstly, I read the novel with the mindset that kim deuk pal is dead, his soul would be gone and at this common mass romance drama, would I be really craving or crazy to change the novel's storyline for my forcing kim deuk pal with choi se kyung? song yi heon's soul is actually beside kim deuk pal all this time, he watched all things kim deuk pal's do for him, he smiled and happy and feel amazing how can his normal body do everything like becoming the center of class. kim deuk pal is preparing everything to wait for real song yi heon, while kim deuk pal is sleeping at night on rainy days, the Times or the noices seems to cut off from outside, the room is silent. kim deuk pal finally wake up in song yi heon's body, and finally can see song yi heon's soul is sitting at chair watching him. real song yi heon feel afraid that kim deuk pal would hate him cause ppl hated stalker like what he suffered all this time, but kim deuk pal is not hating him or there any trace of anger at all. both just look at each other, kim deuk pal know song yi heon from trace of his living while song yi heon know kim deuk pal from what his believe and action all this time. song yi heon said " thank you"..., kim deuk pal want to catch him, but song yi heon made the chair far away and disappear, just like when kim deuk pal feel pain when his body died, kim deuk pal feel pain once more time, because this body's part "soul" is gone despite the pain, he is panicked and run in rain night. de javu " it is once again on rainy night, song yi heon found choi se kyung, he confess to choi se kyung, he is gone, he is gone, kim deuk is breaking up, he feels like he is stolen the child's life. while real song yi heon feel like the one that should be alive is the one that saved him, and beside he is happy to see his body is being loved and cared. the situation is so, choi se kyung try to calm down kim deuk pal with kissing his face and carresing him and choi se kyung's father went home at that time and founding his son kissing a boy. kim deuk pal fainted as the shock within the body is too great while choi se kyung need to see the aftermath because his father finally know about it.

read further, that is why i believe the lie at first by ppl saying choi se kyung likes og. you would know later there are many Times emphasis what choi se kyung like is the soul and not song yi heon's body. the novel is so clear about who is choi se kyung's like, as for when choi se kyung develop like toward kim deuk pal is from when kim deuk pal bringing him to beach.

err the drama is actually the summary from the novel. the novel's choi se kyung also know most of the thing of song yi heon cause he is so sensitive toward his surrounding especially the one that always watched him (but it does not mean he loves him cause he has already suffered surveilence all his life) . the drama is skipping many things, and put a rush, choi se kyung is a smart person if the episodes would be more,he would feel weird about how kim deuk pal know many things about gangster like how he ask kim deuk pal at ep 5? about how he Threaten the old man. as for platonic love, I love bromance it doesn't matter to me even if they taken out the romance part but leave the friendship part. the drama also show how choi se kyung said to kim deuk pal, everything that is hard to him seems to become easy for kim deuk pal, and when he feels he cannot breath the one that he is called is kim deuk pal, kim deuk pal bring him to a beach and let him rest and play comfortably. kim deuk pal is someone choi se kyung opens his heart to. if the drama made the og comeback because of censor ship like drama "mr queen", it would be choi se kyung that need to take care song yi heon's problem while choi se kyung himself already has his own problem and only kim deuk pal can make him resting and be free without worry or afraid of anything.

for comments that irritable about ages difference just take it as the mc is someone that get a second chance like mass korean novel or china's novel nowadays have mc that have their second life like reincarnation but their real mental soul ages alraedy mature enough. all the mc's that have too modern knowledge or regress to have revenge are all have mature soul. it has become too common and in the process usually fl mc found new love while ml mc found harem. just a troupe of novel nowadays.

choi se kyung's father is not thinking about the gay's part at all, what he has been worried all this time is choi se kyung is too similar to him. someone that can be cruel enough because there is an accident when choi se kyung is small, a girl died. it is an accident and choi se kyung said he didn't pushed her but what his father think it is not important whether he pushed her or not cause choi se kyung's small face has no emotion at all (choi se kyung feel irritable cause the Little girl keep annoying him so when the girl's ribbon falling below, he is happy the girl go down the stair to take her ribbon? so he can be free from noice for a while but the girl fall down from the stair and his father watching him and making it seems like it is all his fault so his surveilence of life begin from that accident) . so his father has been restraining him all this time and cultivate him to be patient, hoping he would grow up as a good person and this song yi heon has to many connection with gangster's path, he cannot let his son in danger. for the romance part it has been taken out from the drama, so it is just a friendship drama, and beside I don't know would the drama changed the ending so for og to comeback but what I read from novel, the og and choi se kyung are never real friend, one is stalking by looking at him, another one is too sensitive toward his surrounding cause of surveilence all his life so he know og watching him.

that is what i read from the novel, the og never do anything for choi se kyung, so how choi se kyung can fall for him. what he has for og is the regret he didn't help him when the og found him at that night. he think he should have done better for og. that night he is actually irritable cause of his parent that quarrel because of him, so when his servant called there is a friend looking for him in middle of rain, he is sceptical but goes out to meet the og, the og without umbrella in the rain, choi se kyung think he should have invite him at home instead of blurting out harsh words cause his patient is running out. he regret it, he should have invite the og home and let the og calm down.

I just stated what is in the novel content, it is choi se kyung that fall for kim deuk pal first, choi se kyung in the novel also think he has double personality, but he realises everything is too real, double personality won't have real life trace but kim deuk pal's trace of his living is real, his old house, his old notebook that has same writing, he knows his subordinate well, he know many gangster password or code etc. he is in a hurry to confess his love toward kim deuk pal cause he finally understand what his gone word mean, he is afraid of he is gone suddenly despite kim deuk pal only treat him as a student/ genius classmate. but if you want to interpret it to become choi se kyung loves original song yi heon, that is impossible cause beside the one scene night rain where choi se kyung feel guilty to not help the desperate real song yi heon, real song yi heon never do anything or siad anything for choi se kyung, he never steps in the circle of real choi se kyung's life and just watching him from outside.

the gangster actually rejected choi se kyung's confession and even farther away from choi se kyung but choi se kyung has been to intergrated into his life like Studies instead of bulldozing every subject, choi se kyung choose which one important for him to learn and gonna be in the exam. the gangster rejected him pretty much but at some time later, the gangster also collapse with how he has identity crisis and only choi se kyung understood him since he is the only one know everything. choi se kyung, he wants someone that can let him have Freedom and let him can breath normally. both are depended at each other. but choi se kyung aware of how kim deuk pal is older than him, so he is trying to not show his jealous self in front of kim deuk pal. after all, it is true that choi se kyung's personality is like a Fox.

the drama still keep the novel's essence like choi se kyung's father want song yi heon to be far away from his son and how choi se kyung's face change when seeing other girl give song yi heon with kim deuk pal's soul a drink, choi se kyung know the one standing in front of him is not real song yi heon, if what he loves is real song yi heon, he wouldn't be jealous of that. this drama is only takes the important part from the novel.it is gonna be rushed ending or cliff hanger ending.

song yi heon or kim deuk pal has identity crisis cause he cannot even remember his face as kim deuk pal anymore. it is all begin with kim deuk pal makes school name tag with song yi heon's name, and then to make himself remember song yi heon's name so everytime ppl call him song yi heon, kim deuk pal can respond. he said and begging to choi se kyung to make him remember he is not song yi heon, he knows it is cruel toward choi se kyung that is afraid of him could gone anytime, but no one else know this truth except choi se kyung. choi se kyung agrees to him. but at same time situation after knowing song yi heon is actually kim deuk pal, and how kim deuk pal treat his own subordinates so precious. choi se kyung confess to kim deuk pal, "I know i am being crazy bad perhaps my father is right to control me, but i am happy that you are Dead so instead of following your subordinate, you are here with me now" choi se kyung basically has obsessive personality

except if the manga that adaptated the novel changes everything, the ending of the novel is when they are graduating from school and with song yi heon still have the gangster's soul. choi se kyung is actually easily getting jealous but he is trying hard not to say anything to kim deuk pal, cause he know to have kim deuk pal, he cannot show his childish side (he loves kim deuk pal's soul and not song yi heon's body so with how kim deuk pal treat him like young love and not serious, he is trying hard to show how much serious he is in love with kim deuk pal) , there is a girl that love song yi heon with gangster's personality but choi se kyung said to her "no, song yi heon is not gay but i seduce him" with him smiling so sweetly.

I have read the novel, the one that choi se kyung like is not the real original song yi heon but the gangster's soul, with him, choi se kyung feel free and can breath, with the gangster's soul choi se kyung is not being seeing weird after being Treated so abnormally by his father, choi se kyung show his true self toward the gangster's soul, still the gangster's soul Treated him the same.

i only want to see kim deuk pal's Journey and not romance part. it is so frustrating seeing all the creepy comment because when kim deuk pal is gone from song yi heon's body it mean he is truly Dead. I am only care about him because he is my favourite character as for the romance part, I don't care much. because for me, kim deuk pal is the main character and I am following his Journey and not romance teenager in this drama, as far I read (not that far yet) , i enjoy the story of kim deuk pal as normal high school student, as for song yi heon and choi se kyung, both are really have their own cimcurstances especially choi se kyung, his personality is indeed like a Fox that is bad, song yi heon's personality like his mother that is desperate to ask for help because no matter at school or home both are hell for him, and kim deuk pal is trying to make all good for him when song yi heon is back, if he is happy later it means kim deuk pal's hardwork is not in vain.

also one more thing, kim deuk pal is Dead because song yi heon suicide at over pass and kim deuk pal went to save him that cause kim deuk pal's body is Dead. when original song yi heon back it means he is Dead, yet ppl in this comment section mostly comment about romance parts...

the show has removed the romance element 😅, and there are many readers comments that said kim deuk pal would be died in the end. and if you watch the drama, kim deuk pal is a precious character and even his subordinate that respected him so much. in the novel he even be said to keep bringing people in cause he feels pity toward them and bring them into his own group, but i haven't read that far yet, still kim deuk pal is a kind person and want to return the body toward the kid, now he just enjoy go to school while making sure when song yi heon is back he got comfortable life, in the novel he even thinking to transfer his own asset to song yi heon. the creepy part?? there is even Fantasy romance where one thousand year old male lead with young female lead. I don't even write creepy comment, because it is just drama and not real life, if you care about romance just watch romance drama, this drama has been removed all the romance part and only keep the friendship part. in the novel kim deuk pal never fall in love with anyone as far as I read, because he is not sure to give the other people the safe feeling since he is gangster. the only thing he regret is he cannot go to school, he is being forced to stopped school by his own father for family sake, and has been working part time and back alley to survive from his young ages. he just wishes to study so he still study despite he is already 47 years old.

I wonder about that, since I haven't read that far. watch ep 3 and 4 already. despite there are still change in drama but the feeling that i've got from reading the novel and the drama are same. they manage to keep the essence of the novel and characters's personality. same with the novel, choi se kyung seems to grow up or healing with the gangster beside him. choi se kyung can laugh and be more free with just beside kim deuk pal, that is something that original song yi heon cannot do it for choi se kyung. guilty feeling, that is what started choi se kyung to search for original song yi heon. since the readers of novel are so sure kim deuk pal would be Dead or moved on in the end, I am reading the novel and watch the drama with that result in mind. i am not interested with the romance part what i am interested is with the gangster's journey, his character is interesting. I wish in the end he got reincarnated or go into better place. as for romance part, it is just drama or novels, there is even many romance bg with male lead that has thousand year old with young female lead. maybe I would change my mind, if I have finished reading it, but to live happily ever after between both original song yi heon and choi se kyung.., probably but there would always be shadow of kim deuk pal between them, and even choi se kyung desperate to search for original song yi heon cause he feels like he would got drawn by kim deuk pal, he even wished kim deuk pal would just lying to him that he is original song yi heon. although kim deuk pal doesn't like lying, he also doesn't want to lie. instead of telling choi se kyung he would go to heaven if original song yi heon back, he choose just rest in a nice place after real song yi heon is back. that's the feeling i've got from reading this novel, not that much chapter yet, but sure kim deuk pal bring some comfort to choi se kyung and bring some relieve and Freedom that his family always restricted him to be a good child., because his family thought he is different from other child and can be a bad ppl if not being controlled especially his father, his mother wishes for his son to grow like a normal kid so yeah always quarreled at home and choi se kyung heard all of the quarell that is about him.

i haven't read that far but the highschooler actually has guilty feeling toward the student because the student threaten him to help him, it feels like hell for that student at school, and he cannot stand it anymore. but he never ask for help, so he doesn't know how to ask for help. it is true that the student is stalking and always see the highschooler for two years because he loves him, but he cannot stand it anymore and use even love as a weapon. so he threaten the highschooler and end up feeling ashamed. he cried and the highschooler feel surprised seeing his tears and so much feel asking for help. so the highschooler actually searched for him that night and always worried about him. there are more but later i wrote more if you wanna know.

reading your comment made feel bittersweet about the ending, currently I am reading the novel is just for the sake of the gangster and not for the romance sake and it broke my heart reading the part where the classmate blamed gangster for stealing his classmate's life. yet, the gangster still comfort the classmate and said he just rest for a moment and would comeback soon, the gangster can feel it because when his body died, he feel sense of loss so he is sure that this body's soul is safe and don't know where his is. just like when he is protecting the student's life at that accident he also do same to protect this classmate.

I am not caring about romance story like that in this drama, what I cared more is I am hoping the gangster is not die in the end:(. he is too kind.

read the comments spoiler. though since the producer of this drama removes the bl part, i am hoping for the gangster is not Dead in the end. his body died because of saving a student that want to commit suicide and now his soul is trying to help the student life better with mindset he would return his body when everything is well for the student. if he can get out of the student body, he would get out now, the student soul refuse to be alive and give up everything. so it is really unfair for the gangster despite he is indeed want to study and pass csat, it feels like the student got everything the gangster do for him later, while the gangster died in the end.
