as many shortcomings that i think this movie has, i must give credit where it's due. the main cast were all really great in their performances and it was nice to see them be a 'family' even if it wasn't real. the music and cinematography were also stellar as well. however, i wouldn't rewatch this movie, and that's that

the second half was very predictable, i was guessing what would happen at every turn and i was correct about every assumption and guess bc of it. i normally am always able to guess things in movies, it's both a blessing and a curse- but it was the latter in this case because i couldn't quite focus on and enjoy the last 30 minutes of the film(not like i was in the first place) so it was frustrating
the first half of this movie was great! there was so much suspense and curiosity at what was happening around…
firstly, the big reveal of "oh my family isn't really my family and it's all been a lie the whole time" was admittedly surprising when it was first revealed, but the more it unraveled the less it made sense. how was the brother character the little boy of the family killed by mc?? their actors looked to be near the same age in the present day so it just threw me off. secondly, while the ending was grim and was likely the best way for it to end, i didn't like it at all. main character felt a lot of guilt for what he had done, though it was accidental, he still lived with that guilt. so why not, idk, make him continue to live with it even after remembering? he was willing to kill an innocent woman for his real brother to be saved, while he was desperate, he still willingly made that choice and he should have had to live with the memories at least a little bit longer.
the first half of this movie was great! there was so much suspense and curiosity at what was happening around the main character, but the 'twist' was where it all went wrong for me. don't click my comment replies if you don't want spoilers.
the ending of this movie completely ruined the rest of it for me lol. everything else was great until then, and…
yess let's let the asshole who got the girl pregnant and killed her because he was jealous of his best friend who he also killed too live in the end!! that's why it was rated so low for me.

this wasn't awful but it wasn't great either. i did binge it bc the premise was interesting, but i probably wouldn't rewatch it anytime soon(if ever again). the whole making hyun je the 'bad' guy in the second to last episode made for an extremely frustrating cliifhanger, im not quite sure why they decided to reveal that so last minute. lots of plot holes and choppy storylines, but it's good to watch if you're looking for something quick and simple to finish. and also i'm like 90% sure that chi woo and hyun je had something going on between them, but yeah.

i went into this movie with pretty low expectations, and it did take me several days to complete as i wasn't really feeling it. but i'm so glad i decided to focus on watching the movie bc it was a blast. it was so refreshing to watch, it gave a new revitalizing spin on a genre that typically feels very bleak, and i would highly recommend to anyone who likes movies like warm bodies or zombieland.
the park family are so entertaining, and you can feel how much they care about one another through their actions. i liked different things about each family member, but my favorites were of course nam-joo and hae-gul.
jjong bi and hae-gul were so sweet, and i'm so glad he ended up becoming human again by the end of the film. and speaking of endings, it was one of the best i've ever watched. it was both a parallel and a lesson, and it was wonderful.
this is getting pretty long, but if you have any doubts about watching this movie, ignore them and watch it. it's lengthy, but the ending makes up for how much it can drag at times. beautiful cinematography, acting, and story. this is one i definitely will end up rewatching in the near future for sure.
calling usagi a hypocrite is really dumb sorry. little dude had a caregiver to go back to, which is who was with…
niragi was a piece of shit in so many ways, but the way the borderlands handled death, especially for villains makes a lot of sense. did i want niragi to be shredded to bits by the king of spades? 100% fucking percent. do i understand why that didn't happen? yeah, i do(as much as it pains me to say). i don't think you were able to die if you weren't in an active game(visas aside) so maybe that's what happened. we'll probably never know for sure but it's interesting to analyze/pick apart these sorts of theories and ideas (i wish he had died, but it's nice to know in the real world he's going to look just as gruesome as he did in the borderlands. he's very narcissistic so disfiguring him in the real world is the least that they could have done to take him down a peg.)

when tatta died i had to stop watching for a couple days bc it was so upsetting. sadly the borderlands show that no matter how good or bad you are as a person, the games will take you either way :( i wish tatta didn't have to go through all he did, but it is comforting to know that he has no recollection of what he went through in the borderlands, and he most likely died a pretty quick death in the real world so he didn't have to suffer.
and im so glad ann got to live, i was so worried that she was gonna die for good but i firmly believe what kuina said in the borderlands to her about them going back together is what brought her back to life, and that's why she was crying whenever they got her heart restarted.
Why the heck queen of spades wants arisu in his team, wouldn't be smart move if she wants usagi instead of arisu…
err i definitely wouldn't say this show is misogynistic. if that were the case, there would not be any strong female characters in sight, and literally almost all the women are stronger than the men (to me) so....

he's definitely a pussy and an awful character but i gotta give props to his actor. playing someone that heinous must be a draining and exhausting task and i know he got the role but i just hope it wasn't too mentally exhausting for him yk.. and the fact chishiya's last scene in the show is with that freak was so...
yeah that highkey annoyed me as well.. like let's be serious writers.
wish i knew.. i guess maybe he knew that staying behind would result in his death since him and chishiya both were in pretty bad states during the decision making, that's my guess anyways. but i wish he never even survived the beach too i feel like we're past needing villains to be rapists and stuff, people can be villains without trying/committing that heinous act idk
