At episode 7. This is nuts. “Circle of Love” is similar, but there’s a certain vileness here that’s just too unsettling. Also, the actress looks like a baby. Not sure if I can continue. Is there going to be some massive shift in the seemingly sadistic ML’s personality? Is the FL ever going to stop being an abused and trampled victim?
I'm on episode 10 and as far as the drama is really boring and there is no chemistry between the leads at all...the…
College life is more interesting. He pursues her more straightforwardly. His kisses are top-tier which makes the drama kinda worth it. FL stays slow-witted the whole drama though. But, his adoration of her is pretty swoonworthy. The side characters are pretty uninteresting, but the plot has an interesting twist down the line.
Hello, need to educate me 🫡 do you know who these enemies are in episode 2 where they speak their dialect /…
A history buff (rajv) shared this with me: This was the period when the last Ming Emperor was on the throne of China and the Manchus started gaining power to overthrow them. The Manchus/Jurchens/Qing Dynasty founders were called “Horan” by the Koreans, looks like. Horan means a disturbance caused by northern or western foreigners (from 胡 ho "(northern or western, often nomadic) barbarian".The earlier Khan Nurhaci, also known by his temple name as the Emperor Taizu of Qing, was a Jurchen chieftain who rose to prominence in the late 16th century in Manchuria. A member of the House of Aisin-Gioro, he reigned as the founding khan of the Later Jin dynasty of China from 1616 to 1626. Hong Taiji(the Kangxi Emperor's grandpa) was his son who proclaimed himself the first Qing Dynasty Emperor.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hong_Taiji
I think the last time I fully enjoyed rom-com was when watching Business Proposal back in 2022 and Love to Hate…
Their chemistry was good. It was the weak writing that was the problem. It was the unimpressive start to their romance that left me unmoved—her mistaking him for a pervert, his catching her on the toilet. Stupid. There was no building of affection over time before the “love” came so abruptly. It was based on what? Nothing as far as I could tell. That moment when she said everyone should be equal seemed to be the moment he fell in love with her. That wasn’t a strong enough catalyst for their love, in my opinion. Very weak writing.
Hey , is there a love triangle between ML-FL-SML ? will SML touch FL or they spend lots of time together ? or…
There’s a bit of a triangle, yes, as the oblivious, slow-witted FL thinks she and the SML are “just friends.” She makes the ML feel insecure because of that friendship.
Here because the ML, Wang Zu Yi, got me obsessed and mesmerized in “Extremely Perilous Love.” His face is so striking and interesting-looking. And his acting is fire! Excited to see him in a modern setting romance. I also liked the beautiful FL when she was a flight attendant in Seven Tan’s drama about being airline pilot. Hope this young actress, Shao Yu Qi, has much success. I like her acting.
Update—Finished this in one day. Very good. Good acting instead of the cringe soapy acting you usually see in these low-budget minis. However, we didn’t get proper, swoonworthy kisses to match the incredible, sizzling chemistry created between the leads. Also, attempted murder was just brushed over. No cops or jail time at all. There were a few other issues too, but it was still a 9/10 for me overall. The final episode was corny as hell though.
Excellent drama. This slow burn—Wowwww 🔥🔥🔥🤣. We might as well start calling the leads “Scarlett, Rhett, Melanie, and Ashley” because that’s who they are, complete with a “civil war” to boot. I wonder if the writers got the rights from Margaret Mitchell’s descendants, lol?
My new crush. I love his good acting and striking face. Very unique. Obsessed and mesmerized after “Extremely Perilous Love.” Enjoying him now in the modern drama “Love at Second Glance.” His honey-dripping, steamy-dreamy bedroom eyes 👀. Woowwww. 😍
