she calls him 夫君 (fūjūn) which can sound a bit like 父亲(fùqīn) ^^

Even as a foreinger in China and Korea, I personally experienced similar situations. Of course it can be even worse for locals. If you don't play along at social events, it often negatively affects how they treat you during working hours. #imho

I also watch SDC and at least last year by some miracle their YT channel uploaded live and eng subs were free. Now it's delay and pay... Hope the other platforms never copy their behavior 🙏
