Everyone is hating the sml for giving the fl lunch but i think it's very natural thing to do since he actually…
It is not "hating" to point out a person's actual flaws. The SML is not a good person. He manipulates and does shady things all the time. He constantly undermines the ML in their professional lives for something that happened when they were children (and he doesn't even know the actual truth of the matter).
Regarding the FL, she has set clear boundaries, and he tramples them constantly. If he genuinely liked her or were a nice person, he would not do this. The scene where he forced the lunch on her was well done. She clearly stood quite a distance from him and was polite in her speech, but it was not friendly/showing interest. From someone as astute as he is in business, he wouldn't miss these actions. He is forcing his apparent feelings on her, not really because he likes her, but because it will hurt the ML.
I don't hate him because he is a complex character and not operating on complete/accurate information. However, I do not like him.
Sorry, can anyone tell me: Do I have to watch season 1 before this? or is it not that connected?
I recommend watching season 1 first. It helps to understand the characters better and how they relate to each other. So far, it doesn't seem like the cases from this season are connected to season 1, but there may be some things connected.
Did he say one-sided love? On iqiyi it said wishful thinking. I am going to rewatch on viki, which has better…
I watched on iQiyi as well, and I took that "wishful thinking" comment to imply a one-sided love. It is probably a difference in wording used by different translators.
Can someone clear this to me .... how much of SML action is there with the FL and like is the FL also very close…
They are working together, so they are together mainly for work. FL has made it clear (for the most part) that their relationship is professional and has issued some boundaries. He is the one who does things that are mainly to egg the ML on.
After watching the final episodes, I really feel for QSZ. So many people around him were involved in this nasty business, and his own mentor killed his girlfriend and caused him so much pain. One thing I was glad for was that he was vindicated for his intuition that the older drug case wasn't finished. He was determined to find the truth and finally did.
This series was really well done and deserves a higher rating. I personally can't wait for a second season!
I guess it’s a good thing I have a decades worth of illegal drug research under my belt so I can poke holes…
I don't have decades worth of illegal drug research (just chemistry in university years ago), and I also know that meth is a created drug (not a raw material). 😉I also found that line to be strange and am hoping it was more of a translation thing.
