Even the officer in the center Jae In is working in is involved in the apartment fire before ahdjahdjsjdhdjd my question just keeps on piling and I still have no answers.
Episode 7 and 8 blew me away, I am thinking so much but let me just dump some of my thoughts here.
A part of me really thought that An liked her but hasn't fully realized it yet and is only starting to realize it now? But man, the boy has been aware of his feelings probably since high school. I love how straightforward he is in expressing how much he cares for Jae In. I love how his confession scene wasn't the normal "I like you" but the "I have never CARED this much for anyone else before." And that Jae In's didn't even need a word, her thoughts already spoke so much volume. Gosh, I love the both of them so much.
Second, I thought it would be a simple dad-son relationship between Seung Mo and the killer. But the scenes where the killer said "this will only be over when one of us dies" meant there is so much more. I wonder what episode Seung Mo's mother will appear on.
I was so sure Seung Mo had feelings for Ji Soo until the 8th episode where An said his hyung has no feelings for her and that Jae In is really the person he cherishes. Is it a romantic love? It would be unfortunate to have a love triangle between the brothers :(
A little boring so I skip a lot of unnecessary scenes...non of the cast is great... but give it a try if u like…
I honestly feel like it turned a little uneventful on episodes 5 and 6. But I hope you give episode 7 and 8 a chance, it made my two hours feel like a blink.
Can we at least have a drama for the second half of the story? Their story as a married couple? Their chemistry is so good, I'm so sad if I will only get to see it once :(
I believe it's pretty understandable that An's powers are not fully honed yet. He just saw his "reading" as a habit and not a skill and he never paid attention in improving it.
I actually loved the scene where Jae In asked him to check facts about the case first before doing a read on the deceased woman. That way, the information he would read would make sense at the very least.
All along I thought Jae In's father was solely wrongly accused, but it seems like the real culprit has threatened him? Seeing how he's purosely not wanting to get out of jail and telling Jae In that he killed all those people. That, or he just does not want to go out of there because he feels like he has caused so much shame for Jae In.
I'm honestly so glad Jinyoung's first lead role is actually in a drama with a substance. I hope it continues doing well and won't lose its potential in the future episodes.
As of now, I think I'll stick with the theory that the killer may be Sung Mo's father. As a child, he may have…
Wait, also curious how An saw the black suitcase by touching the doll. Was the doll touched by the killer or the victim? Is the kid (the owner of the doll) a witness of the crime? Or was it just the river's water?
As of now, I think I'll stick with the theory that the killer may be Sung Mo's father. As a child, he may have been abused and chained by him. That's why the chain on the witness who was killed was a "sign," because he would have been the only person who would get that. He probably feels guilty of what his father did that's why he's keeping An and Jae In close to him.
Some questions bugging me are, on the night of the fire, he was on the building (but not in the room with his mother who was stabbed) so where was he? What did he do after he left An in the orphanage? Sung Mo is a really mysterious and interesting character. I really hope they do a good job in unfolding the story because it is doing well so far and has so much potential. It would be such a shame to waste that.
Does Jae In have a forgotten memory related to her dad's case? That's why she and Sung Mo want Ahn to do a "read" on her?
And I guess next episode is the episode where there will be a time jump. Her message in the preview about wanting Ahn to hone his skills and stuff kind of means she's saying goodbye. People in their school will know about Jae In's dad and she'd be forced to move again :( then she and Ahn will meet again when they'd be adults.
The plot "the other lead's parent killed my parents" isn't a new plot but the way the part where they revealed that fact was actually really impressive (I'm still a little skeptical though if her father really did it)
