All the Tropes and Cliches
I am utterly disappointed by this drama. I actually waited so long to be able to watch this with Arthur. It is not like I expected to see another Lighter and Princess, but it could have been better. At some point, I questioned why Arthur Chen accepted this role.
It starts strongish, then writers start pushing all the c-drama tropes and cliches with misunderstandings, lies, and events. It seemed like such lazy writing. One or two cliches, I understand, but after a while it overstretched itself.
I love a green flag ML and a strong, decisive FL. I was super hopeful with them as well. They had good chemistry, yet lacked the intimacy.
The second couple's story took a ridiculous turn. I think they wanted to go for an interesting twist. At first, I was okay with it, but the inconsistencies with the situation annoyed me.
Overall, it was cutish and nice. I do not know why I am this disappointed either. I hope they do better storytelling in the future.
