I’m actually kind of worried with Leo Luo. He looks thin and pale. I heard he got injured and has been losing weight since a few months back. I really hope he gains back some weight and vitality throughout filming coz he looks sick. :( And hope he’s okay too!

I’m nervous about this. General and I was such a wasted drama for me too. But I can’t remember if it’s the direction, script, or both that turned me off. Hope everything turns well for this. The costume and poster looked amazing, and the casting is perfect so I hope the scriptwriters and director doesn’t end up to be the one that ruins it. No matter how I love the cast, I still wont be able to watch it til the end if it has ridiculous directing and script. So please 🙏🙏🙏

I read it in a comment somewhere or was that in twitter? But I’m glad to hear you found the novel quite good! I might hold off on reading it though as I always end up comparing the drama and novel, and enjoying the drama less… just like what happened in long ballad and FaE. And before anyone gets offended by my comment above in the future (haha), I like LYX too! The picture of him circulating in twitter with silver hair for their ideal look of him for this drama is really adding to the anticipation hahaha. But stilll, really want bailu to explore more and to see her on screen with other actors too. But anyways, I’m still looking forward to this and to their chemistry once more! And crossing fingers that this turns out to be excellent and be a really good opportunity for the both of them!

I super love bailu 😍 and will support her even though I kinda agree that I am not sure if this is the right decision.🤔 Sure, I am looking forward to her doing a xianxia with the immortal goddess type roles as she hasn’t done that yet. Not sure if this will fulfill that, but still happy that this is xianxia. HOWEVER, I kinda agree that it might have been better to explore more and act alongside other male leads so she can be exposed to a different fan group and possibly gain more fans and popularity. Also, I heard the story of the novel is not so good and kinda messy, so I’m not sure how good can they make the script for this be if the source is not good in the first place. 🙁 On a positive note though, at least we’re sure of their chemistry and the possible kiss scenes 😉 Hope she’ll be part of big S+ production with good script someday. For now, I guess we’ll be waiting for many more months before we can see her next drama 😭

I agree this is more a different genre. I believe this has actually a more realistic and mature take in a way that they did not put in any excessively animated characters or over the top comedic situations just to make it funny. Those situations, in reality, would not actually happen in an ancient setting. I guess this is why others might find this slow-paced. If you've watched other political dramas like nirvana in fire, you will get what I mean. Or even family dramas like story of minglan (although this one is a bit too slow paced in the beginning because of too many eps). Also, One and Only stayed true to its poetic atmosphere, in contrast to other dramas, so you would have to appreciate reading into the little nuances, and the small gestures. So it's like an advanced level of watching. haha

Also love and redemption is a xianxia (with fantasy aspect), while this is more a political, tragedy romance that really shows you what is it like living in ancient society where your choices are limited and wherein people very seldom get to have their happy endings.

This is actually more realistic than other dramas in a way that there are no excessively animated characters to make it a bit more funny. I guess that's also why it can be slow-paced for some. I'm used to all kinds of ancient drama, whether the more political ones, or more romance ones or xianxia or wuxia ones, so I'm used to it. For this kind, you need to appreciate the little nuances, the culture, and the setting. Give it more time and watch more episodes to know the characters more and you will soon get attached to them. :)

they already changed it now. A lot of people were requesting a change of profile pic before because they used her formal photo for marriage registration. It’s like a formal ID picture and doesn’t do her looks justice. Plus now, she is divorced as well, so a lot were requesting to change it even more. :)

I’m seeing major changes from the manhua based on the available raws. Most noticeable change is Ashina Sun’s personality. Not sure yet which I prefer and not sure how the story will progress given that. I’m open to changes especially since it can’t be avoided since they added new characters too and the manhua is unfinished, just hoping the story makes sense until the end. So far, so good. I’m feeling the same kind of anticipation as when I was watching Princess Agents. ? I think this is the best acting of Dilreba so far. Hoping this continues to be good and they don’t give us badly-made ending. The subs are so slow though. Raws are so way ahead ? I can’t bear to wait. Also, the filter in their faces are kinda overdone. haha

Does anyone know about the writers of this drama? Since the manhua is unfinished and is in hiatus plus the author is in dispute with her company for the rights, does that mean she does not have any say on how this will end? I think that’s pretty sad. Anyway, still hoping this will turn out okay and that the drama writers and directors won’t mess up as the story unfolds. ??So many drama gets mediocre and messy halfway through.
