SO WELL SAID. Miscommunications as a mean to "move on the plot" is an outdated strategy that is only forgiven on telenovelas latinas meant for young people. Believe, I know, I used to watch them. Not in 2022, not in a drama that both de leads are smart and UNIVERSITY DOCTORS?!
Found it interesting from episode 1. But I'm going to hold myself because I don't want to have to wait for new episodes, want to watch the rest of them all together. Stopping on episode 7 or something.
Finished watching it. After what seemed like months, but were weeks, it ended. What carried all of it was the main couple chemistry, without a question. They were amazing and I would watch dramas with them again! Unfortunately, their relationship could've been so much more explored! We only got 2 episodes of them actually in a relationship. The show could be shorter, but even if wasn't, they could get together by, like, episode 20 and start their journey as a couple, facing some difficulties and getting through them together. :( It makes me so sad thinking about this lost potential. Imagine them going back to the homestay and spending some days in nature!
Different from some, Meiren never annoyed me. I found her genuinely cute. And only by thinking about Zhuang's character development makes my heart skip a beat. SO AMAZING. The microexpressions he did when he started falling in love and how he fought for Meiren's love in the most charming way...
Their kisses were really, really intense. I find it interesting how chinese dramas have much more of these kind of romantic scenes than korean ones.
I skipped all ot the second couple. Not interested. And that Lv Jian was useless and annoying. But I love Tiantian for her way of pushing Meiren.

SPOILER: I wish Meiren had discovered that Zhuang not only came back for her, BUT ACTUALLY DECLINED A TENURE. It's so different and proves how much he loves her.
That plot of him not communicating with her because of wifi and her blocking him was ridiculous. There are other means of communicating - didn't he have the number of Tiantian, for example?
