The dispute at the club was due to loan sharks coming for his hyung and stealing money from the club to collect. In the end, he's forgiven his hyung and told him to just stay alive. He left with a bag of money because he will be paying for the money owed by his hyung to the loan sharks. I don't think he's leaving his job, but the ending implied he's stopped drinking at least for that morning.

but i totally swooned at makoto's confession though. michi shoulda said, "yes!" and left with him lol even kaede was rooting for them i mean come onnnnnnn

I share the same sentiments. I did not binge watch this, and came back to it only when I felt like it. Each watch, though not continuous, was such a delightful experience. So many golden scenes every time.

I feel like this is that kind of drama where each episode is a standalone. Give another episode a try! :)

Be Melodramatic is the best writing in a drama I've seen (since Mad Men).

One of my faves from last year. The characters just draw you in, and made me ponder a lot about how people different from each other find common ground and how connections last (or made to last). I particularly liked the interaction between OMJ and the CEO (DanAh)

I thought he was the second male lead too. His encounter with YS felt like another kdrama altogether (alternate universe story, any takers??)

I agree with this! Also, I personally won't ever go anywhere close to an ex, but it's easy for me to say that too because I'm not them, and I don't know how their relationship actually went down to say for sure. This drama will lose its depth if things were too arms length and mechanical.
