Title Our Beloved Summer Spoiler
My favourite scene in the whole show happened this ep (12). In the past we saw how yeonsu would hid her emotions…
I know. I cried when she cried to her grandmother. FINALLY. Must have been a good release.

So people, let me ask this after watching 9-10 and his move about "let's be friends": why did CW kiss YS in episode…
He's confused. He doesn't know what to do with his feelings. I know this. My ex bargained too when we broke up. He said could we be friends at least so we can stick around each others' lives. I'd have done the same too in a different set of circumstances.

I think I'm the minority but it does not feel slow to me. There was so much and I mean so much movement this episode.…
omg yes totally agree with you. i'm enjoying this drama a lot. i like how it feels like we are being taken on a journey here with the leads reconciling and coming to terms with their breakup. i keep pondering about the lingering attraction that is obviously there both sides. i am sure the leads both don't know what to do with this attraction, thus the questionable behaviors lol (Ung suggesting to be friends, YS humoring him which ended up them spending time together for the first time since the breakup) and as someone who have had to deal with lingering feelings in the past, i totally relate and see why they are acting that way. it won't be satisfying to just get them together for the heck of it at this point. and is getting back together even the point of this drama?

Can someone tell me how similar is this with Run On? I mean the vibe and so on.
I loved Run On a lot, and was looking at a similar drama when I found this one. I'd say the similarity is more on the earnestness and realistic way they were written. The characters in both dramas are well fleshed out and complex but also so normal and relatable. I think Run On led me to ponder a lot about how it is like to get to know someone so different from you, how difficult it is to understand each other sometimes but still forge connections and find common ground--like how relationships start and interest and connection is sustained. This one makes me ponder about how people are like in relationships (e.g., YS seeing their relationship as an escape), how they deal with vulnerability, and why people choose to end it. There could be other similarities.

Episode 6 officially sealed my trust in this drama's writing. It's the game changer episode for sure since it…
Yes. Fully agree with you and bringing up Be Melodramatic and Age of Youth. I've been looking for dramas like those too (also like Run On). Sigh.

Episode 6 hit too close to homeThe end was really heart tearing... no wonder I'm sticking around to just this…
I kept rewatching. I kept wanting to absorb 최우식's acting. His eyes looked so deep and sad. I kept feeling moved when he says 우리. So incredibly sad.

Does this drama bring anything new to the school life-romcom genre?
I believe so. Have not really seen anything else like it in Korean dramas that handled breakups, why they happen, and what-happens-after-a-relationship-ends so well. It felt like a dissection, and it led me (and I'm sure many other viewers) to ponder about our own experience. Great writing, excellent acting, impressive production with so much attention to detail, compelling OST.

I really like the ML in this. He is so charming. Anyone recommend a drama with a similar vibe of the ML?

Because she was proven to be a liar multiple times by multiple sources via screenshots from her and his friends.…
I theorise that Kim Seon Ho low-key still have feelings for her that's why he did not deny & say anything bad about her even if so many others are doing it. Ever thought of that? What if the abortion and whatever went down in their relationship was a PRIVATE matter that Kim Seon Ho wanted to stay private, but what can you do, Korean media made his relationship the talk of the nation. I theorise he truly loved her, that's why when this came down defending himself wasn't the priority. Manu Gerino, sometimes people handle situations that happen to them differently from what you expect them to do. Live with that.
