You didn't know the director??You didn't read the highlights for This drama either??? All your question is already…
Have you seen Twelve Letters? That's his (Zhou Yiran's) most recent release. It's a short watch and has excellent acting from both leads. Also very gritty and intense, nothing like his role in When I Fly Towards You.
Curious when they get together and is there any breakup? Also, is there a 2nd couple? How are they?
They get together about halfway through the show or so. I am almost done and as of now, no breakup. There are three couples. The second couple is very cute IMO. I'm not really interested in the third, and there's not much time spent on them.
Only three episodes in and we already have two forced, aggressive kisses. I thought this ML was supposed to be…
Yes, but because it starts in the present, there's information about their past relationship you're lacking. You'll see why he just kissed her without warning. His character is very sweet!
can someone please enlighten me (ep 11 spoiler)first of all old Xun was supposed to be in his early 50s right?…
Yes, he was in his 50s. Maybe they just miscast or purposefully cast someone who looked older because he had a hard life and didn't age well. There wasn't a reason given as to why he died as far as I know. Sometimes people pass unexpectedly. Maybe deep down he knew she was gone. It's not uncommon for spouses or loved ones to die soon after the other.
I can't remember what episode it was first revealed Hai Tang was dead, so I wasn't able to rewatch that scene to see what the police said about how she died. Her and Ye Yibo were both found in the lake, and at the end of the show we see them together in her car where she learns the truth about what he did to her mother. She then drove them to mountain where their bodies were found but they didn't show what happened after. She knew he would never truly get what he deserved for killing her mother (along with basically being the reason Xun went to prison and "died"). He had also said they were old now, and it seemed like she kind of had a realization, maybe that she didn't really have anything left for her anymore, since Xun was gone and her son was grown. So I assumed she killed them both. But I could have misunderstood.
They do not reuinite until the afterlife (until the timeline changes and none of that happens, of course).
The first time it snows, Xun turns himself in and loses 13 years of his life. Hai Tang never sees him again and thinks he's dead. The last time it snows, they've reunited in the afterlife. They finally get to see snow together. I cry everytime i think about this.
Can anyone recommend a series where the main couple is similar to the second couple in this series?
Not sure if you are looking for a Chinese BL show but if you arent...I wish I had better answers, but here are what I could come up with since no one's responded yet: (1) 2gether the series. Thai BL. Kind of a similar banter-like dynamic, with one character being stubborn and sweet and the other confident and shameless. Though I guess that could describe WSW and CC too haha. (2) Vice Versa / Last Twilight / My Magic Prophecy. Thai BL's, all with the same main leads. Again, similarish dynamic. In My Magic Prophecy, currently airing, there's a doctor storyline as well. (3) The Best Thing. Chinese. Wanted to include it because the ML kind of a combination of the two---a handsome doctor who is kind and gentle, can cook, but also a little shameless and flirty. (4). The First Frost. Chinese. Included just because I feel like Sang Yan has similarish vibes to Guo Chengyu. Dresses well, protective, strong silent type, cooking as love language, quiet acts of service. Sorry if you've already seen these. ðŸ˜. Hopefully someone has more ideas cause I'd like to know too.
I'm stuck at Ep 21 for a while now...should I continue or not? Anything else interesting in the remaining eps?
Personally I was very invested until the end. There's still a lot to come (and lots of good romantic scenes) so I'd say definitely give it another try.
