I’ve really tried to avoid reading reviews before diving into a series because it feels like people can be a little too harsh. But here’s my two cents:
- I absolutely love a strong family dynamic, and this series really delivers on that front. You get all the sister/mother feels, and there's something so refreshing about a healthy family. Sure, the sisters argue, but they always make up in the end. - Every few episodes (about every 10), you’re introduced to a new couple (another sister), and the chemistry between each of the female leads is fantastic. - One of my favorite things is how quickly the problems get resolved—often in just one or two episodes. It’s really satisfying to watch. -I'd agree with the comments who mention it's a mixture of Little Women, Pride & Prejudice, and Bridgerton.
Well, actually technically, this isn’t a romance drama, though it does have romance in it. It’s just one of…
The only part that irked me was when the FLs mentor? Boss? Goes down the “He was mine first and I’ll ruin everything and everyone to get to him” path. It’s quite toxic behavior but luckily it’s only a few scenes.
Wow, I’ve never commented on an ongoing drama before, but I guess there’s a first time for everything!
***From someone who hasn’t read the novel***
As a casual watcher of most shows and movies, I rarely have strong feelings about dramas—unless I feel the need to drop them within the first few episodes (feel free to check my dropped list). While many seem to have mixed feelings about this drama, I absolutely love it.
I’ve watched *You Are My Hero*, *Descendants of the Sun*, and *Road Home*, but without a doubt, this drama has become my new favorite. I never feel the urge to skip scenes or fast-forward, and the chemistry between the leads and the cast is fantastic. The story is intense. If you’re looking for a lighthearted, happy drama, this may not be for you—but if you love emotional depth and tension, it’s definitely worth watching.
Is the CGI going to win any awards? No Is this the best drama ever written? No Does it have some flaws? Yes Am I still going to watch it? Yes
I think it’s fine to read reviews but watch the drama without any expectations and then decided if it’s for you. :-)
This is my first seven drama I have dropped, I watched it when it came out and dropped it on episode 5. The comedy…
I loved it! I'm not one to leave reviews often but for this one I was torn on whether or not to start because of the reviews and I'm glad I started it. The comedy was so cute, but there is a lot of drama. Really. Like every episode until the end something is happening. But the ML's and the cast really make this drama worth it. Again, I'm not one to be picky about scripts, budgets or costumes or hair but for me it was fine? I didn't think anything of it.
I've dropped plenty of dramas that others have loved and really never batted an eye before. LMK if you decide to finish ;)
I loveeee Seven and to see her in a historical drama was amazing! I've never watched a drama with Zheng Ye Cheng before but my oh my the chemistry what OFF THE CHARTS! While I'm normally a sucker for romance there's not a lot in this drama but it's THERE iykyk. I think this drama isn't everyone's cup of tea but if you want a stellar cast and a great plot this one is for you. <3
When did they get together?Any breakup? How long?Any love triangle? Annoying?Happy ending?
They don't get together until ep 20 ish but the chemistry is slowly building. They do breakup for ~5-7 episodes from 30ish until the end. There is a love triangle but the FL never wants anyone besides the ML. It's the majority of the 2nd half of the show until the end. HAPPPY ENDING!
- Loved both leads—they truly delivered, and their chemistry was fantastic. - The first half was easy to watch, but the middle felt a bit slow with moments I wanted to skip. Thankfully, it picked up again toward the end and drew me back in. -8/10 slow romance with to many misunderstandings but redeemed by the end.
I just started this and right from the ep 1 I can tell that the 2FL is going to be trouble. My question is: is…
The 2FL literally says 'I have no feelings for him' and eventually they both become friends. Another reason I enjoyed this drama no pettiness between the females.
I was hesitant to start this drama as it doesn't fall under the stereotypical troupe of the ML and FL meeting, slowly falling in love, running into some conflict, etc.
I started this series yesterday morning and binged it finishing it up this afternoon. I skipped her jokes, not for me but everything else? This drama is soooo well done I gave it 10/10.
Didn't love the boss side couple or the second ML but this drama wasn't one that was cliche and it devoured every minute.
