Regarding the May 22nd date for S2, I saw that it was posted as the scheduled date in an article where Rain where talks about his back pains that recurred from his filming for S2. But for that date, i wouldn’t say it is set in stone because THE WONDERfools was also reported to release on May 15th, although that date was pretty quickly shot down by a Netflix representative. So i’d assume one of those two will premiere on either of those two dates but definitely not both will be releasing within a week of each other

Lee Jong Suk officially confirmed by his agency, Ace Factory, for this drama. Lee Jun Hyuk is confirmed to star in "A Casual Lie", a separate drama.
"Since the original works of both works contain narratives of different protagonists in the same world, the live-action series that will be adapted will continue this connection, both separately and together. As the worldviews of the two works are connected, the two dramas are aiming for simultaneous production and are scheduled to begin production within the year."

Ace Factory, which produced "Confession," "Secret Forest 2," "Grid," and "Good or Bad Dongjae," has acquired the rights to "I Seop's Romance" and will be producing. While a specific production date has not been set, the goal is to begin production this year.
Interesting note on this is that Lee Jong Suk's agency is Ace Factory. So his agency (albeit a different division) will be producing the drama which could mean he actually has been cast for the role
