According to IU, it doesn't look like any new promotional material will be coming for this until early March. I assume she means like teasers or trailers
On We Are All Trying Here Jan 20, 2026
Hwang Dong Man - An aspiring film director who is the only member of the famous film industry gathering "The Eight" who has yet to debut. Like an uninvited guest, Dong Man constantly circles the edges, masking his ever-present anxiety with endless rambling and bluster to get by.

Byeon Eun A - A film company PD nicknamed "the axe" for her incisive script reviews at Choi Film. Eun A dreams of maintaining an unshakable calm center in any situation, but in reality, she suffers emotional overload so severe that she bleeds from her nose, battling her own trauma. In particular, Eun A ’s journey—healing her own wounds through Han Dong Man, who may appear obsolete by society’s standards yet is stronger inside than anyone else, and in turn transforming Dong Man’s perceived worthlessness into something radiant.

Park Gyeong Se - A once-successful film director whose recent failure fuels a deep inferiority complex. Despite his achievements, he is obsessively shaken by Dong Man, whom he considers beneath him. His volatile mix of pride, resentment, and jealousy drives much of the drama's tension and dark humor.

Ko Hye Jin - The CEO of a Ko Park Film and Gyeong Se's wife, she is a grounded, decisive leader who anchors the group. Calm and generous yet firm when needed, she mediates conflicts and holds the fragile relationships together with quiet strength and realism.

Hwang Jin Man - Dong Man's older brother and a former poet who has withdrawn from society after confronting his own failure. Living a bleak, isolated life, he embodies silent despair. His shared pain and unspoken bond with Dong Man add emotional depth and weight to the story.

AStory, the Korean studio behind Kingdom, explained that creating a series directly for Netflix, where Netflix…
And this was back in 2022 and now in 2026 with not even a rumor on season 3 pretty much leaves the ending of season 2 as where the show will unfortunately end due to Netflix
On Kingdom Season 2 Jan 19, 2026
AStory, the Korean studio behind Kingdom, explained that creating a series directly for Netflix, where Netflix owns the entire IP, is not financially worthwhile for them. This being because Netflix prevented the studio from monetizing Kingdom through additional avenues, like webtoon adaptations, musical productions, and other business deals, they have little incentive to continue the franchise b/c producing more Kingdom content such as season 3 would simply cost too much

Instead, AStory has shifted its focus to projects where it retains IP ownership, allowing it to generate sustainable revenue and remain financially stable which is the logical route for them. They noted that Korean studios typically rely on owning their IP in order to expand into secondary markets and long-term business opportunities. Without the IP of a project, the company has to depend on outsourced deals

While discussing another successful series they produced, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, the studio pointed out that this is why they chose to air the show on a local Korean network first and only sell the international licensing rights to Netflix after. Looking at it from their view on the issue, pretty much a third season of Kingdom is almost entirely unlikely since they saw no real benefit in producing additional shows directly for Netflix when they could retain IP ownership and simply license their content instead

I never said that they have to so not sure where you saw me saying that, but it's pretty obvious that that is what is likely going to happen. It doesn't affect me on watching it so i don't think i need to grow up, just making a comment on the obvious ;D

Not too sure tbh, it hasn't been officially reported release in 2026 at least from what I have seen so far and it doesn't look like filming has started yet. Could be a bit more clarity on the release period when a broadcasting network picks it up or if more casting news comes out
