First teaser:https://x.com/showboxmovie/status/2008305004755685873
(This was the teaser shown in theaters about a few weeks ago but the HD version from Showbox instead of cam recorded. The only difference that I saw is that this one doesn't say it will release in May, only says in 2026 while the one playing in theaters displayed May)
clearly they don't care at all for fans or viewers.
What exactly was the production team supposed to do? Predict the alleged criminal past Jo Jin Woong deliberately hid? The situation caught them and everyone else by surprise and they are coordinating what to do. They haven’t even confirmed a delay, so getting angry over something that hasn’t even been said to happen makes little sense.
Being disappointed and seeing it your own way is fair because i’m sure most fans of the series are fairly disappointed. But jumping from disappointment to they clearly don’t care is a stretch. Caring or not doesn’t magically erase that this involves a main character where filming already completed almost half a year ago.
Wanting them to rush to a solution to and leave massive holes in the story because of impatience is how you ruin a story fans have waited 10 years for, no? Pretending there were endless easy solutions and they just chose not to use them isn't how productions actually work.
Park Ji Hyun reportedly casted as the female lead An Ha Ni, an airline co-pilot. She is a woman who knows only how to live life diligently and ends up getting a wake-up call from Gu Reum, and who falls in love with Kang U Ju at first sight.
The broadcaster has not been decided yet, but it is scheduled to air in the second half of this year

Weird way to look at it in my opinion, just because they want a season 2 doesn't mean they will get the green light to do it whenever they want, not how that works. They were presented with a situation that was impossible to anticipate and have to plan accordingly to try to ensure they can still release this without as they said compromising the value of Signal and minimizing public backlash. The situation involves a main character who surely has a ton of scenes and it's not easy to have to limit a main character's screen time without causing a mess to the storyline
This situation itself is barely a month old, they aren't going to give you a solution within the hour before strategizing and coming up with the best course of action for their team, tvN, and the viewers as well. You can be mad them i guess but being mad at them for having to handle a massive roadblock like any logical company would is confusing
