That's why I appreciate My Destiny so much more. Plot is compact and no unnecessary characters with pointless storylines. I also like the production company. They only go for true actors not traffic stars.
The pacing of this drama is awesome! Especially the arc with her first love. I love how they didn't drag it out. Other dramas, it would probably drag out multiple episodes with them dating, bickering, blah blah... im glad the director didn't put us through that, cause really, why so ,if the relationship was based on deceit and doomed from start. This drama already have so many conflicts, and it's only a few episodes in. If it's already this exciting, I can't wait to see what Guo Jing Yu(screenwriter) will throw at us in the later episodes. So looking forward to it!!

This seems to be the trend lately. There's so many of them airing already, and it's only the first quarter of 2026. Period dramas along with spy/war/propaganda dramas tend to do very well in China, but not so much with international fans. I personally, am not a fan of period dramas, but this drama, surprised me. I didn't think I would love it as much, but I do!! The fast pace make it so much easier to watch. Be warn, if you're a softie, this drama will make you cry your eyes out. I swear, the last time I cried like this was for "Go Ahead" another awesome drama with Tan Song Yun. So yes, I think you should give this drama a chance.

She doesn't need to go CP route to maintain her popularity. The difference is that she has major acting skills. I think the drama "With you" and the issue with Liu Hao Ran taught her a valuable lesson. That CP fans are toxic. (Backstory: when With You was filming/airing these two were very close. Posted their interactions on Weibo to promote the drama. Then they were caught by Paparazzi hanging out.(Not confirmed they were dating). That's when Ouyang NaNa/Liu Hao Ran CP fans started attacking her. They were horrible. Even attacking her during the accident with her mom. 😡🤬 "With you" ended it's run with both of them staying clear of each other. To this day, they both avoid and doesn't mention the other. )
So yeah, I don't care for CP fans, and I respect TSY'S decisions. I don't ship her with anyone. The only exception is Ren Jia Luan. Not on a personal level, but a professional one. I really want them to collaborate again, cause both their acting in Under The Power was so good! I was drawn to their acting chemistry, the romance was a plus . 😄
Dang, no rumors of upcoming scripts. I hope she can jump right into a production in March. Don't care whichever scripts, I like to watch her behind the scenes shooting. I'm missing that a lot!
