I am still totally stunned that they wrote an entire season around Ying Ying going completely backwards & dragging everyone down w/ her. Other characters made notable improvements. Namely Guan Guan and Qu Xiao.

In episode 40, Guan Guan finally understands that compatibility is deeper than she previously thought. It's not just sharing the same interests. She's resolved her feelings Zhao and can move on.
Ep31/32: Gotta admit I was annoyed with Andie b/c they're essentially rehashing S1 in that she's cold to the people that care about her.
Qu Xiao saved the day bigtime. Although I didn't like that they rehashed the whole insecurity thing, as an individual character, she had good progression.
Ying Ying FINALLY saw some growth. I didn't like how they got there but she finally stood up for herself. Reminds me of myself from recent events. Never let anyone abuse you and leave it open for them to do it again. Maintain your integrity.
EP23: Qu Xiao Xiao's family is the best! Most entertaining family members by far.
EP24: Sheng Mei wifen it up. HOT! Guan Guan looks beautiful in her white outfit. My goodness! She was adorable standing up to Xie Tong like that and being giddy when she saw him perform. Xie Tong seems like her match b/c of her appreciation of music and that he's opposite from her.
In Season 1, Andi was my favorite character. She's pretty much a female version of me. In Season 2, she's much more comfortable in her own skin and she's happy with Bao Yifan. I never did like Weiwei anyways. I enjoy seeing Andi's story arc however my favorite character has shifted from Andi to Guan Ju Er. In terms of character development, she's getting the most (while Ying Ying has actually REGRESSED, but that's another story). I always thought from S1 that Guan Guan had this hidden potential and to see that come out is amazing. I can literally keep writing about Guan Guan but I have to stop lol

@SUNNY: well, Guan Guan also thinks Wang Bai Chuan is attractive (she calls him Handsome Wang) but it's not like she's trying to steal him from Sheng Mei. The reality is that she made a connection with Dr Zhao and she had no idea he was going out with Qu Xiao Xiao.

I also love them all but Yingying grinds my gears sometimes. I'd like to see some character development, not regression lol! I understand why she's written that way but I don't think I like to see multiple episodes replaying the same sequence of events.

Sheng Mei has options and she can have anyone she wants but she wants Bai Chuan because she loves him. She has to deal with the fact that her family + his family + his developing career aren't really compatible. Sheng Mei herself is actually set in her career and she's successful in her own right but it's not possible to take care of her family, start a new one, and pay house payments on just her income. She needs Bai Chuan to come into his own so that everything can be taken care of reasonably and comfortably.

Ying Ying is annoying at times but I think the point of her character is that she's young and naive. Young people tend to think they're always right and then it comes crashing down. I'm watching on DramaFever so I'm not sure if things go south but if it does, let me just say that she IS taking more advice and not doing everything exactly like before. Life is a learning process and we don't always get it perfect.
