they didn't film this for years. sure, they spent years preparing the props, but it seems like the actual filming happened recently (2024?). usually, a 12-episode drama takes only one or two months to finish filming, that's just how it is. It seems like they rushed this. lol, remember the fighting scenes when there are people chasing them? like they are trained in lunch break for 15 minutes to prepare judging on how bad it is

i know they both did some evil, especially cc who has done so much SA behavior. i never said that i don’t want wei wei’s behavior to be called out or kept hidden. i’m just saying that after wang shou’s appearance, the storyline became a bit lighter (like i said, lowkey). i didn’t even mean the characters, I used wang shou to point out when i started to get bored. well, i know there are ups and downs throughout the episodes in the drama. but for my personal taste, that ‘down’ arc needs to be interesting enough to keep me watching. this drama got boring when it went through that phase, and honestly, it took that one phase to ruin it all for me. i saw a lot of people just talking about wang shou’s face card, but damn i ain’t playing pretty privilege here

9 figure budget only to disappoint us

This is honestly a DISAPPOINTMENT. Everyone waited three years for this, and we had HIGH expectations because the production team kept hyping up the budget (eg. saying the budget was very high!) But maybe that’s exactly what ruined the series, a high production budget but a weak storyline, and too many cast members, which led to unequal screentime distribution. character development was also lacking due to limited screentime and poor pacing.
