is it just me....or sometimes, taecyon and so hyun break character for a little while every now and then showing…
Actually their cute bantering made me forget the age gap. They are really having fun teasing each other. I was also thinking that maybe they truly adore each other off cam. They really have a great chemistry.
Damn this was a good ass drama. I'm the least bias person to review this drama because I've never finished…
Same with me, I never got to finish Pinnochio, LJS looks cool but not the type that would make me swoon. But this drama is so well written!!! I can totally disregard the technical flaws, I am in awe on how the characters and cases were connected to each other. It is tearjerker but light and cute, I remember myself cracking up with the random candid moments. And of course cursing the main villain, but the villain has his story to tell as well. It is not burdensome with other drama that deals with injustices (except for 1 ep, I think but that ep is enlightening). I am not up for Noona romance but, I understand the circumstances and I love the characters on their own. Well I still have 3 eps to go..
I am currently watching it, 3 episodes left. I am so hooked, and I cannot help but binge watch it, which is hard for me to do with older dramas when the effects are quite dated (Heck, I can't even finish Secret Garden)
The Story line of this drama is well-written. I like the depth of each characters, their connection to each other, how the small cases are kind of parallel with the big cases... I like how the cases are all connected to build up the climax. Right now, I could not care less with the flaws on technical matters (court, law, investigations) I just love where the story going.
I hope US could do a remake of this drama. The cougar thing is hot stuff over there and with all the good crime investigative series they have they could iron-out small flaws. But I doubt it if can they make it cute, lighter and as wholesome as this original series.
Interesting plot, though some details just don't add up. Anyway, I like everything else beside it.
One of the strong point of this drama is the selection of Cast! Even without lines, just by looking at them, you'll already know what kind of characters are they. They are that great! Action scenes are awesome. And Park Hae Jin!!! I hope to see him in other great dramas as well.
BTW I came here because of 38 task force. My first non-romantic kdrama before signal etc. Please try that drama it is so underrated but really good. Ma Dong Seok is not a beast in there but I he is just as lovable as he was in this drama. ^_^
And also why is it that koreans always use knife and bats when fighting? Instead of ammunition which is common to action genre, is it in their culture?
This is the kind of drama that made me grin all day after watching an episode. So sweet! I laughed, giggled, was a bit sad. Thanks to the writers for throwing in all the kdrama ingredients I that I always love. I also love how that the story is kind of feminist. The mix suited me well. It may have flaws but I really can't go technical about it when I enjoyed watching it sooooo much. 10/10!!! A new addition to my all time favorite list.
I love the cast, I have seen them in other dramas before but they really fitted so well in their characters here. My 1st time to watch PSH though but I totally fell for him. His charming aura and his Im-so-in-love-it-hurts looks. I love their chemistry.
This drama is so hilarious!!! I love the plot and the twists, fighting the higher ups of society, investigations, strategies. A good breather from serious crime dramas.
I have never laughed so hard since the drama of "the greatest love" with Cha Seung Won. And it's been awhile, though they have different genre.
Jang Na Ra and Seo In Guk! They are the actors that I did not like at first sight. But they are so good at portraying their characters that I grew to love them both. That now, I trust that whatever project they will star on, it must be good.
Especially on the part when Jang Na Ra found out about his Dad, she did not even have to shed a river, but I cried a lot feeling all her emotions, I got carried away. And Seo In Guk, I do not know why but he is hotter every time his emotions are intense. Hahahaha
And I like the story, there maybe a hint on who's who at the early part of the drama, but the real story unfolds as the show progresses.
I was just afraid on how the complicated plot will end, but for me, I was satisfied with the ending.
BTW I am also moved by the "wolf Story" in one of their episode. Great moral lesson.
And after watching signal, I was hungry for crime drama that have a cute romance. The romance is not the focus, but it was cute enough and I am really contented.
Just finished. Initial thoughts: 1. It might be easy to assume this is like the American crime tv show "The…
I first saw Seo In Guk in The Master's sun, and I also do not appreciate him back then, I think it is because of his character's development is lacking in that series. I tried avoiding his other drama.
Until I stumble with 38 task force, it is my first kdrama that I have watched that romance is not the focus of the story. First drama where SIG is the lead role. I fell hard for Seo In Guk, and I never looked at him the same way again.
Ma Dong Seuk with Seo In Guk. Just now I changed my rating of 38 Task Force from 9 to 10/10 realizing that they left a great impression to me. Since then I came to like nonromantic kdramas.
I am a 90's kid that's why I especially love this drama. And the way the story unravels is so interesting. The series reminds me of How I met your mother in some way, I do not know why.
It is my first reply series. I started this while in a slump with goblin, but it is so good that I completed watching it immediately. I fell right away for this drama.
I hate Shi Won, she is rough and all but what can I do, her character exist in real world. All their characters are. This drama is so realistic. Their characters developed throughout the drama and felt so satisfied with it.
Done with the drama! 30 mins, and cliff hanger endings, I can't help but binge watch it. Thriller and action sequences are interesting, I cannot stop watching esp during the last few episodes, I am always at the edge of my seat coaching the characters on what to do like a crazy person hahaha
I just notice that writers are not that good with heart tugging lines and drama, but I could not care anymore, I just want them to complete their missions and come out alive. Hahahaha.
I don't know why, I am already in episode 6, but I am not that hooked with Goblin. I started watching reply 1997 (my first reply series) at the same time, but it seems that I enjoy it more, before I knew it the (reply 1997)drama is already done. I do not usually watch 2 dramas simultaneously, But I did it to shake off the slump from Goblin (because I know it is a good series, and I should enjoy it, I have high expectation for it), and I really picked a different genre from Goblin so I will not get saturated with fantasy and magic.
Do not get me wrong, Goblin was made beautifully, the filter, the cinematography, the effects, the OST, the Slow mo moments, it is so dramatic, all the actors are cute. I guess what's not working for me is the plot? So far at episode 9, it is like a cinderella story with peculiar and cute deities instead of princes and fairy god mother. I don't know. I will find time to continue watching, hopefully it will get better for me. Anyway I am really enjoying the second leads' romance.
For me this drama broke cliches -child-parent issue, ex- issue, cheating issue. I thought said challenges are very predictable. But the story did not go according to my predictions, it always turn to unexpected directions. And it's pacing is just right, that it's impossible to get bored.
And PSJ! I love him since kill me heal me.
I love the OST. I love the style of narration. It's very modern, it reminded me of Wieghtlifting fairy, and it's okay that's love. Very modern feels, has western series vibe to it.
I agree with that scene on "It's okay, that's love" the two leads have strong chemistry all throughout the drama. On top of my list are the kisses on "Queen in Hyun's Man" and the kisses on "Oh my ghostess" are also something
Wow. I did not expect that I will enjoy this one a lot. After reading the comments, I am guessing that they were referencing the Bad Guys series at the ending? Is it also a good series? Is it too serious? A serious drama full of tragedy is difficult for me to finish. At least this drama is tagged with comedy so I gave it a try, and I have no regrets after. You do not really need a lot of funny scenes to enjoy this drama. It is already entertaining, the script and story line it is so clever and amusing.
I thought this drama has a western series vibe to it. The issues presented and faced by the characters are not typical for a korean romcom. I was even doubtful to watch this, because I thought it would be too serious -a drama with endless crying. Surprisingly, I enjoyed it. It has its own cuteness common to all romcoms. Great OST. It is cool and warm. Realistic script and also lighthearted moments everywhere. (you'll know what I mean when you watch this). I liked the pacing, the unraveling of the story. It would make you curious (I'm kinda waiting for it turn into a suspense thriller or erotic at the first few episodes), then excited ( when you get used to the characters and the tone), before you know it you are already hooked and wanted to see it to the end. Great chemistry between the characters. Jo In Sung is hot.
Wow..ok..lol..I can only agree with the awards for Kim So Yeon, Jo Jae Yun and Kim Sae Ron. There were so many…
Kim Rae Won along with Song Joong Ki was nominated in grand prize category. It looks like an actor can only be nominated in 1 category (not sure). I found in other website - https://www.dramafever.com/news/guess-who-won-the-korea-drama-awards/ that there are only 4 nominees for best actors 1. So Ji sub for Oh my Venus 2. Yoo Seung Ho for Remember 3. Jae Hyun for Cindererella and 4. Jang Hyun Sung -and there are 2 winners. I haven't watched Remember, I dropped Oh my Venus, Cinderella and Doctors are easier to finish because I was hooked right away, the 2 actors from the 2 dramas did well in my opinion, though they are not in the main lead alone.
What I really love about this drama is the OST. Great Songs. It has the movie "Begin Again" feels because music is a great part of the lead role's life.
Though this drama is made to look cute, it is very realistic, the struggles of the characters are real. With Woori, I felt her in the drum scenes and the attempt piggy back scene (with hyeon woo at the bridge). This is, for me, Dara's nicest acting performance so far. Far better than Dr. Ian (I dropped that drama). I love the cast too, they did well especially Seung Yoon.. They all have good chemistry. I also enjoyed the live performance of the OST on youtube, their thank you event for the success We broke up.
I started this drama a while ago because of Lee Jong Suk. (No surprise there I guess. Great actor, knows to pick…
Me too. For the longest time, I am putting it on hold. There is no problem with the drama, I think it is a good one. I guess it is just me who is not in a mood for the drama, its vibe, and its tone of seriousness.
I have been watching light romcoms so I can laugh to my hearts' content and then maybe I will crave for something more serious later like pinocchio.
I was doubtful at first... but this drama keeps getting better every episode, that I was so hooked, until it reach a great ending. I love the finale.
Should the drama starts slow... please do not be discouraged and continue. The leads chemistry is perfect. And I was surprised with Yoo In Na, I never thought that she can make me shed tears that much (on the later episode).
hahaha my reply is overdue
