He is excellent at everything!! He plays the piano very well too! ❤️
I'm also very impressed with his horsemanship. I think it is rare to find a top/main lead actor who excels in horse riding and looks so good on horseback! ❤
What a cheesy, mindless storyline. Why did Junho have to accept this one for his next project? Really, he should not lower his standard/potential to accommodate his main co-star. Really, disappointing.
visiting a shrine that worships class A war criminals isnt nothing.
I understand what you are getting at. One thing to be clear, though. The Yasukuni Shrine exists not for the purpose of "worshipping", but for acknowledging loyalty and service of the spirit of those who died in wars whether they sided with victors or losers: it began with the commemoration of spirits of those who fought in a civil war between the Tokugawa regime and the Southern and Western fiefdoms in the nineteenth century. What you call "A class war criminals", labelled as such 75 years ago, comprise less than 0.000005% of the entire spirits listed in the Shrine.
I realized that it is pointless to argue with you. I would appreciate it if you could end your arguments with me here.

As for the question of the Zhang Zhehan incident. My view is that he has been a victim partly of the resurgence of nationalist campaigns by the state. He has been used for propaganda. To push for a sort of cultural purge, his case must have been a well-timed one for invoking and spreading, yet again, anti-Japanese sentiments. After all, the Chinese economy being in dire situation and a fear of potential civil unrest within China, to steer people's attention to the same old tactic of inciting the anti-Japanese sentiment is really useful. Japan is also pro-Taiwan.
In my view, mobilized by netizens, Zhang Zhehan's case is blown out of proportion, and largely fabricated.

There were those Japanese civilians who were brutally murdered in Tongzhou in 1930s, as well as those Japanese civilians who were brutally murdered by Chinese & Russians during the evacuation process towards the end of, and immediately after the War. My point here is not to make any excuses, or defence of one country over another, but to stress that we need to look at human nature in perspective and acknowledge the tragedy of wars. Be it between tribes, states or countries, we witness throughout history ugliness of wars. I believe you know very well how brutal some young Maoists were towards fellow citizens during the Cultural Revolution.

To begin with "Class A war criminals" were classified and labelled as such by the victors of the WW II. I would imagine if those (you-know-who) who instigated and commanded the Cultural Revolution in 1960s and 70s, where anywhere between 500,00~2millions were killed and 125millions were persecuted, had not become the victors/sided with the victors of the WWII, then the leaders of the Cultural Revolution would have been classified as criminals in international judicial court. The shrine/memorial itself was built in the 2nd half of the nineteenth century to commemorate those who fought and died in various wars, including civil wars. More than 2,4 million souls are now commemorated and there have been many visitors including foreign dignitaries in their official capacities.
So much arguing and infighting... Mods will lock this comment section at this point.Bro I said they will lock…
I think it is a good idea. There is foreboding redolent of little xxx-ists mobilized for the Cultural Revolution. We should avoid providing acceleration of politicization and propaganda.
somewhere in twitterverse...will try to locate that again..tho im beginning to stan him now cuz of ALP... 😉you…
I agree with you, narnia.
Da Song Jindu Junyizhi has got to be a so-called "costume drama". Lost in the Kunlun Mountain which is allegedly starting to film, is a historical drama as well, though as the story unfolds during the republican era, the "costumes" would not be as elaborate as those worn in 10~13th centuries.
I was shocked to hear that he having a child before his official marriage. That was not a gentleman would do .After…
An outdated, misguided moral lecture? It treats females as nothing but ignorant, and totally dependent species on male's will and desire. Good to know that there are people like this who display such narrow mined, arbitrarily, remarks on private lives of actors and actresses on this site.
Photos of the characters are now up! WOW, Zhang Zhehan, what a handsome, gorgeous man. He looks an epitome of a man of intellect and elegant, high society.
I mean i thought kim seon hu is the lead... I don't know about suzy, i mean not the best actress out there...…
NJH is a good actor. He has already won a few awards. Jo In Sung praised Joo Hyuk for his acting talent. JIS added that Joo Hyuk is going to be a great actor.
I hate the Ran Yan. She betrays XS so many times and she just takes advantage of him. She lets Su Fu use her over…
I agree with you. I don't like the characterization of FM-so naïve, socially inept and intellectually narrow. (Her upbringing should not be an excuse.) It might be to do with the way the actress portrays Ran Yan, or her lack of depth in acting skills, but Ran Yan is unfortunately an unattractive character. I have stopped watching before Ep. 27. I reserve my final judgement until Eng sub becomes available for all the episodes and see if my prejudice against Ran Yan would change.
Toby Lee as XS is brilliant. If the show is a success, then it would be due mainly to his excellent portrayal of XS.
