honestly, this drama for me not realistic, just like fantasy about their relationship FL & ML, i know drama is…
I agree, yes it's a work of fiction but... I am utterly dissapointed, it could have been so much better. There are too many things that are unrealistic and unrelateable. There's absolutely no chemistry between them either.
I recommended this drama to a friend of mine when it just came out - of course, she's only getting around to watching it now. LOL... So responding to her messages the comment section caught my eye.
I see there's a lot of fighting in the comment section. All I wanted to say is (not going to waste my Cdrama watch time by commenting on individual posts...) To all the fans who love Asian dramas - whether it's Cdrama, Kdrama, Jdramas, Thai etc. Before getting into a heated debate with someone who leaves a negative comment about a drama we love - consider the following:
1. Check their profile - do they have enough experience to be taken seriously? Someone who mainly watches Kdrama and has only completed 10 Cdramas - of which 1 was a modern drama, while the other 9 was either wuxia/ xianxia etc - is definitely not someone's opinion or review I would consider worth my time. 2. Look at the ratings and genres on their 'Completed' shows - it will be evident if they are qualified to voice an opinion. We might feel a drama was perfect but if we are honest the way it makes us feel is worth a 10, but it's impossible if we objectively look at aspects that were lacking. If someone rates a drama as a 10 you might consider that the drama is excellent and the reviewer had a hugely emotional connection with the drama (which you may not) and it might not reflect minor issues with the plot, pacing etc. 3. Realise that a lot of the time when we are able to relate to something personally it will have a more profound impact on us - others might not experience the same - and that's OK. 4. Someone who has the time to voice their negative opinions is already a warning sign that this is mainly based on personal opinion ONLY and not an objective review. 5. Someone who doesn't properly update their MDL lists but voices mainly negative opinions...need I say more? 6. Also consider the fact that watching an ongoing drama and bingeing a fully completed drama often leaves the viewers with different opinions, for the simple reason while the drama is still ongoing the audience builds a sense of community and anticipation around every episode. So someone watching the fully released drama might miss out on a lot of that anticipation leaving them with a different view and feeling that the show was overhyped. 7. Most importantly fellow drama lovers - don't waste your precious time that could have been spent watching your favourite drama with negativity - find MDL reviewers and friends whose taste in dramas you share and don't give the opinions you don't agree with undeserved attention.
What the hell is it with this ending! Qi Yuanbao never deserved him in the first place!!! She never recognises her mistakes but has to be told that she was an idiot time and time again, then she cries a few tears, stabs herself, burns a few dishes and she's forgiven?!! She has the worst character that I have seen in a long time!
Even after the special episode (which was quite unbelievable) I still stand by my first opinion 🙄
Personally I feel the media ( i.e. these tabloid trash seekers) should be held accountable, just to get their own 2c they will look for the most popular actors/ actresses and dig up anything possible to get their 'groundbreaking news' in the limelight. It makes me sick! No 1 they were both single at the time, No 2 they are adults, No 3 even if she was married at the time it would be their private business, not because I condone cheating but because we were not involved so we have no context or facts. Yes they are role models but they are HUMAN and we would do well to also show some humanity.
In the last episode, I am confused which scene is real and which is imagination. did the girl die?
I was also confused but I believe she died, because he got the 2 fish he promised her, the mom was ready for a relationship like she promised and it was just that he kept all the good memories alive therefore it felt like she was still with him at times.
Still don’t know how I feel about this drama. Don’t know if I’ll last 24 episodes. The asian build up takes…
I am always curious, why would you even watch Asian dramas if you want the Hollywood culture of jumping in bed in the first episode without any proper build up, context or anticipation... why not just stick with Western tv then
