Any other California viewers? It might seem lame but I'm absolutely in love with seeing my home and how beautiful it looks haha Plus Naked smoothies with an erased label is interesting - it makes me wonder if non-Cali residents can identify unlabeled stuff and places (∩_∩)
I haven't been bothered by the wrist grabbing really, personally, but I have noticed some of the rest. I remember watching Playful Kiss recently, and wondering if I was the only one bothered by the physical abuse Baek Sung Jo seemed to be putting out - I'm glad to see I'm not. It was also a surprise to me while watching Beating Again to see the scene where the boss slapped Kim Soon Jung so hard.
However, I think things like this - whether abnormal, unrealistic, or what have you - are viewed differently by different people based on the cultures they grew up in. For many Indigenous tribes, like my own, women are seen as superior (for lack of a better word) because they are the foundation of families by doing certain work and no one sees anything wrong with that. While rape and abuse that breaks bones are obviously problematic, I have to wonder about the things that really play up gender roles and why gender roles are important to these countries.
I'm so going to watch this after I finish "Beating Again" simply because I'm in need of some eye-candy and a good story (no matter how unfortunate the lack of facts is.)
EDIT: Update - I finished this between errands with 3 hours of sleep in 72 hours and I completely misjudged her character and totally recommend this!
