Actually, a friend of mine's first drama was Descendants of the Sun and she loved it! I also recommended…
There are actually people who started watching kdrama because they watched DOTS. DOTS became very popular and people were posting about it on facebook and instagram. I guessed since some people called it overhyped ( which i dont actually agree), that overhyped event actually made few people curious to see it.
I would NEVER recommend The K2 nor Man x Man to a newbie. NEVER. Really.
yes... unless they are already fans of Ji Chang Wook and Park Hae Jin... which I highly doubt... Im sure you wouldn't know them if you havent seen any of their previous dramas.
Healer is my absolute favorite drama but it is hard to get into so maybe it won't be so great for beginners.…
Totally agree with you. Its not an easy watch for a beginner and is not a good representative of what an average korean dramas are like...
I think its easier to start with fluffy rom-coms first unless you know your friend like actions and procedural dramas and do do not like fluffy rom-com
Love Mark and Kleun Cheewit is by far one of my current most favorite lakorn. Loved mario more for the movie "A little Thing Called Love".
Love Push best in "Leh Nangfah".
Nadech and his loveteam partner "Yaya" are cute together but I have yet to really fall in love with a lakorn that features Nadech. They were just okay.
I also like "Dao Kieng Duen" which featured Ken.
Funny you should mention Golf and not Mike. Full House Thai was the first lakorn I have ever watched and it holds a special place for me because of this.
Other thai actors that I liked are "Great" and Toomtam"
Toey played the Hunsa character really well. I enjoyed this part... but in reality i would have never be able to tolerate that kind of verbal abuse LOL
This cupid series is a fun watch... a good deviation from the usual angsty lakorn. I like this one better so far than Hunsa, although I enjoyed that as well
One of the best lakorn that I have seen so far. the chemistry was great and the acting was great.I love that Yaya, Mark and Toey portrayed characters that they did not usually portray in their previous lakorn...and they delivered. But I think what i love most in this drama is the editing... the story feels more tight when compared to other lakorn where sometimes I feel the story runs in circle to fill in gaps or too much dialogue and not much is happening in the story.
Panyachon Kon Krua, Leh Nangfah, Khun Chai puttipat, Dao Kiang Duen, Abruk Online, Rak Tong Oom, Fun Fueng, Ton Ruk Rim Rua , Wanida, Leh Ratree and Full House Thai are some of my favorite lakorns and recommendations
The chemistry between the leads was great. I agree that this lakorn was adorable up to about episode 11. it went a liitle crazy after that... Still one of the favorite lakorn I have watched so far.
The elders are actually adorable especially Sipa's grandmother. And Great was handsome as a long time friend in love with his best friend. He played it really well.
Not bad but I hope that they will remake it into a drama, the story was rushed and lacked many details
that would be a good idea... the story lacked the build-up to explain why they like each other all of a sudden... but in a drama... this would be a good premise and more details could be added to flesh out the romance in the story

I also loved the princess and the presidential body guard in King with Two Hearts although it was quite sad.
