I think I may have found my new hyperfixation after RL. The trailer looks promising. The leads are so attractive. Definitely one of the top visual couples with WSW and CC from RL this year. Plus office romance and height/size difference? I'm in! I hope it's good and a HE is all I'm asking for.
It was enjoyable up until episode 13 but other than that, I can't say the same for the rest of the episodes. The pacing was off. Had they spent lesser episodes on the ex-thing and didn't introduce the tax arc so late or at all, it would've been fine. I'm still bitter we didn't get a big talk between wsw and cc about their misunderstandings. I mean, there has to be other sort of plots they could think of that didn't require more time to be spent on right? As the show went on we got less intimacy. I'm totally fine with no NC scenes anymore (it would be a plus) but robbing us of kisses is crazy. All of the build up from the previous episodes we didn't get anything. It doesn't help that they cut off wsw bringing cc to his parents' graves. The last episode is supposed to be important to wrap everything up neatly but we're left with more questions and an unsatisfactory ending. There's no soul or effort put into it unlike the earlier episodes. 30 minutes for the finale is a slap in the face. I truly felt viewers were getting spit on because of the controversies surrounded by the team. I can't believe it but I totally understand cfans' anger now. Despite all of that, I will only remember the good memories our leads brought to us because of their love and hard work put into this series. WSW and CC's chemistry hard carried this show. It would be under the radar have it not been ziyu and tian xuning. They embodied their characters and have sizzling chemistry. That's one thing no one can deny when they watch this show.
My biggest gripe about ep 20 is where was chiwei's big talk to clear the misunderstandings, doubt and lies. Does wsw still think cc cheated on him? Did cc reassured wsw that nothing happened between cc and ws upon his return? Does wsw still think that punch cc gave to wz was for wsw out of jealousy and not because of ws? What about those lies but hurtful words wsw told to cc on the day of their break up? Give us something! These things should not happen offscreen.
I think what they are mad about is, the text message that was said in the phone. I didn't see the text message…
That's a valid take. From wsw's perspective, cc is lying to wsw. He sees cc and ws together a couple times and kissed, albeit forcibily. Wsw is still insecure and uses jealousy as a tactic to test cc's feelings for him. Even then, wsw thinks cc's jealousy is perromative. Wsw's way to go about it is not right but they're all built on misunderstandings and past experiences. They definitely need to reflect on their issues and think what they can do to make the relationship work.
The problem is none of these people are victims… but how could you say all these things about ws yet not see…
So everyone having their share of wrongs can all be true while acknowledging wang shuo's lack of accountability and the role he's played and is playing in the PAST and CURRENT situation. Are you telling me gcy and cc aren't victims of ws' jealousy and manipulation? In which he hasn't acknowledged the negative impact he played in guo and cheng's friendship for years? Why are you bringing up "graper cc"? If I have double standards, you can check yourself by the way your argument is "they're all bad anyways, who cares, what about xyz". That's my entire point and how much deflection there is when it comes to pointing out ws' lack of accountability and his defenders. You're refusing to see the amount of damage ws has done not only on himself but everyone else around him involved, even those who weren't involved in the first place in the past, wsw.
The problem is none of these people are victims… but how could you say all these things about ws yet not see…
What has wsw done to the extent of what ws has done? I acknowledge no character is a saint here. Yes, wsw used cc for his revenge and has not spoken the truth to cc, which is also a betrayal to cc's trust. Anyone can see that. That's the truth. Stop the aboutism whenver someone points out ws' wrongdoings. Ws is no victim. He destroyed cc's relationship with cheng, up and left this man traumatized for 6 years, suddenly came back selfishly to ruin cc and wsw's relationship. He had all the time in the world to address the issues with cheng and cc but didn't. He came back only when cc started finding happiness and beginning to heal. That is selfish, harmful and so calculative. He can save his tears for all I care. It's not love on ws' part bc clearly he's not thinking of cc. Yet ws have the nerve to think he can come and go in cc's life whenever he so pleases? He wants everyone to be miserable like he is. My issue is people using his mental illness as a justification and treating him like a victim. People can empathize with ws all they want but don't victimize him.
I already knew there's going to be bad takes when this ep came out. Now I'm seeing on twitter people are getting mad about the text wsw sent to wz in ep 18 preview and said he's flirting. In what world is wsw flirting? He's being friendly. I'm assuming it's really true these bad takes comes from people with no relationship experience whatsoever whether it's romantic or platonic. It's ridiculous. Then there are people making ws the victim in all of this. If that man was unattractive, no one would be defending him who inflicted pain on himself and those around him! Not to mention the trauma cc had to go through. Now he's hellbent on destroying cc's relationship with wsw. Miserable man. I do not care if he has mental illness. Mental illness is NOT an excuse to make horrible decisions and hurt others nor is it a justification to his actions! Man's is not taking any accountability but apparently, he's the victim? Do NOT piss me off.
It's for both the eps... Last week they did the same.
Yes they posted stills for monday and tuesday separately. The week before last week's eps though, they dumped all of the stills for both eps. Today's stills is a coin flip if it's only for today's episode or for both eps this week. I guess we will find out later 😬
Are chinese fans this crazy when it comes to Desire and the actors from that show as well? Does anyone know? Seeing…
@favour.a hits all the points why RL have such insane popularity. To bounce off about the ABO genre, people in general have divided opinions on ABO in mangas/huas/hwas and books/novels. Some love it, some don't and stay away from it. It isn't surprising when there is a live adaptation of it, it will also have split interest as well. Personally, I love ABO in my fiction but I have no interest in Desire because for me ABO works best in books and mangas and it feels like the perfect medium for the genre.
I want some of you to be aware that although wsw can be outspoken about his feelings and confront situation at times, he still have self-esteem issues based on his previous relationship. People have multiple sides to them in different situations and it makes them human and realistic. This shows what a multi-faceted character looks like.
Same I didn't find WS and WZ attractive either. CC has nothing to be jealous over WZ about lol. WZ is plain in…
100% agree. WS looks like any guy rapper you can find in a kpop boy group, not memorable to me tbh. Masculinity is not about looks but the charisma and how someone carry themselves with confidence. WZ lacks that and he's just like a regular schmo you see on average. The directors could've easily casted someone else that has all of that packaged in one but it is not convincing with this actor no shade lmao
LOVED IT. Every scene, every second. Wang Shuo is suitably obnoxious, I don't think he's supposed to be likable???…
Same I didn't find WS and WZ attractive either. CC has nothing to be jealous over WZ about lol. WZ is plain in terms of looks. To top CC's visual, the next guy has to be just as or if not even more gorgeous than CC is and that's already a high bar to reach 😭
from what i have seen of Liu Xuan Cheng in the RL BTS i don't think he looks very comfortable playing a gay role.…
It could be bc of that (hope not) or bc he's still very green as an actor. He's still very awkward and stiff in some of his scenes. I hope it's that rather than the possibility he's one of those bl actors iykwim. And this kiss scene was supposed to be very climactic for xs and cy's relationship but there was definitely a lack of passion on one end in the kiss and it doesn't feel like a nice pay-off, which is a shame :///
let’s be real we have to separate their acting career and real life , for example zi yu is not angel everyone…
It's definitely because their images are different. ZY gives the vibe and image of someone people need to protect, someone innocent and pure (especially because he was a victim of bullying) but at the end of the day, he's a grown man with a mind of his own, not a baby. He knows good and bad.
I don’t plan to dwell on this, but I do want to say something that I think matters. What Ziyu did is wrong.…
Very well said. Fans need to hold their favorite celebrities accountable. Fans can still be fans but don't defend him on this. He deserves the lashings he's getting. Hopefully, this is a lesson he will learn to become a better person.
