CC "there's no cracks in my heart"...well clearly, there still is even if it's not romantic. He did say he cares about the situation from years ago and not WS himself a few episodes ago. He's meeting his ex late at night, and coming home late drunk..There is bound to be some doubt on SW's end. I hate to see SW hurt
The EN title is literally so uncreative, lazy and boring. Is it so hard to keep the OG title? At least come up with something more pretty and catchy if they're going to completely change the title smh.
I am reading the novel and it hurts that this will be another different role of Esther Both Jiang Mo and Jin Chao…
Is there going to be more depth and personality for JM later? I've read 20 chapters so far and I feel like JM's purpose and sole focus in the story is to find out about JC's past when they got separated as kids. Otherwise, I hope the screenwriter changes this in the drama because it's already focused so much on ML more than FL. It doesn't feel balanced.
The photoshoot made me wish we had more of that dynamic in the drama itself, and more dark!ziqi. It's absolutely scenes I would love to see adapted on the screen. Seems like most of the good stuff from the novel was lost in the drama.
It's a form of confirmation, or affirmation, or a way to get lots of feels (when well done). I don't yearn for…
This 100%. What was the purpose of the dream where they were kissing each other? Instead, they put a kiss that references the dream sequence in the credits?! It wasn't good either because there was no closeup and where was the buildup to that. They couldn't have fit in a kiss in the story itself? It was so easy but they didn't do it.
Honestly I am so glad I stopped watching a little less than halfway because ever since I saw the spoilers for later eps when the mains got together, I read that there was barely any romance scenes for our leads. THIS IS CALLED LOVE GAME IN EASTERN FANTASY...LOVE. GAME. And we got no proper kiss but the secondary couple got two (2)! Then an OE on top?? Wasted chemistry of Esther Yu and DYX. I am so confused how the writers fumbled this SO BAD. The source material is THERE just follow it. As an Esther fan, I am ready to move on and hope Ski Into Love comes out soon, hopefully it's way better than this drama from start to finish.
I read both the novel and the manhua! They 100% changed it, on the official WeTV, the synopsis states that he…
I guess with the bracelet arc, it seems pretty similar to novel MZQ with him controlling MM to marry her right? It just wasn't from MZQ and it wasn't done on purpose by ruoshi. I get why they wouldn't but I kinda wanna see the OG adapted to screen. It's the dark romance lover in me but I shouldn't look to cdramas for that lol. Ooh, I wish we can see those steamy moments on screen! I have started the manhua so maybe that will fulfill me. But also I'm glad MZQ's feelings in the drama towards MY were not romantic but a siscon in the most platonic kind of way..(?)
MZQ is definitely darker and more ruthless in the novel, which they're probably afraid to adapt in entirety, so…
That makes total sense that they changed some aspects about him because of censorship and marketability. I think making MM not getting in between MY and LFY makes it better to avoid unnecessary misunderstanding (plus we get sisterhood with MM and MY). I was expecting MZQ to be super toxic (which I wouldn't mind) because yandere/possessiveness when he gets jealous but I'm glad the writers did what they could by mixing him with a lighter and a bit of his darker side with some slight yandere-ness. I'm happy we get to see DYX look super hot when MZQ gets a little crazy LOL.
I have a question to novel readers. I know that due to censorship and whatnot, MZQ is a lot less darker but from what it shown so far, is drama MZQ still classified as a yandere in your opinion? I've never read the novel before but when novel readers said he's yandere, I expected drama version will show that more. We get a glimpse of his darker side but I'm not sure if it's enough to call him a yandere? Maybe I'm just crazy and want him to go hardcore yandere from mangas I've read LOL but maybe this is yandere enough for chinese censorship standards?
Aside from the controversy that turned away some casual potential watchers, I think it's because this genre is not for everyone. If it was a modern romcom, it will appeal to more BP/Jisoo/Kpop fans that are non-kdrama watchers or casual kdrama watchers in general. Romcoms though, are easy to digest and you don't have to think too deeply about the plot and many people like to watch happy things, unlike how Snowdrop is pretty heavy (potential sad ending from the tone) and it has a political story to it, so I can see why it doesn't appeal to some people.
Jisoo and Haein are most likely refrained from posting on insta by their company because they'll get more hate.…
I feel bad for her. I hope she and all of the cast are not reading the hate comments. But as long as the cast get offers (and they will), they will be ok and if they choose a good project next, they will be more than fine. This controversy will pass. Of course, some knetz will not let it go but that can't be helped. It's funny because knetz do not try to end actual criminals who still have careers and still landing roles.
can anyone let me know how the drama is affecting the cast in SK? the cast is stellar but because of the controversy…
Jisoo and Haein are most likely refrained from posting on insta by their company because they'll get more hate. If they update, knetz will post all kinds of hate comments "wow, they still have the nerve to update? shameless" etc. It's best for them to stay quiet but it's sad because they can't enjoy promoting their hard work. The side characters (well at least one did afaik) are updating behind the scenes photos from the drama but knetz won't go after them because they're not popular. Anyways, I'm sure all of the leads' careers will be ok and will survive.
The way Gang Moo looks at Young Ro could melt the ice around Ms. Pi's heart
No, the translation on twitter was something like a heartbreaking story b/t two men and women (MORE than 1 woman I think this is where ppl are confused), probably it means sooho&youngro and kangmoo&hanna.
Seems like I am in the minority but I absolutely loved the first two episodes of the drama. The "bad" English…
I wish I can like your post a hundred times! I agree with all of your points. I love that the leads are on equal footing and are actual MATURE adults. DHJ can overstep some boundaries but that's why I like her - she's not perfect nor your typical bland female lead. She's strong as well as calling out bs when she needs to, standing up for herself. I love KSH because generally speaking, I love stoic characters but JKY's portrayal of him makes me love him even more. He makes the character believable with these little actions in the way KSH was raised that resulted him in being the way he is now, personality-wise. I want more of JKY and Nana, which reminds me we will only get 12 episodes of them! It's so disheartening.
