I feel like I've never been so conflicted as to what to rate a drama. It was enjoyable but there were some things…
my same exact thoughts ! i also thought it would have been better if Horang and Won Seok went their separate ways ... but no they had to reunite.

I would LOVE to see a k-drama remake. I feel like k-dramas dont usually portray strong FL - not to the extent in Chinese dramas such as the FLs in Story of Ming Lan, Princess Agents, Story of Yanxi Palace and many others. But what made this drama so incredible was not the intricate plot lines but the acting was phenomenal, as well as production efforts. I definitely want a remake cause it would for sure bring people's attention and spotlight back onto this amazing drama.

Title A Love So Beautiful Spoiler
I don't watch C-dramas so obviously I have not checked out the original, but I keep seeing comments saying that…
I have only seen the Chinese version but yeah I have also seen a lot of comments saying the ML in the Korean version is 'softer'.

The ML in the Chinese version I guess has a very straightforward personality; through his words and actions - he does not show any interest nor does he lead the FL on or give her the slightest hope that they could possibly be together. This is why you'll see a lot of comments calling him out as being the biggest jerk. She liked him obviously but just because someone likes you does not mean you have to feel obliged to reciprocate those feelings - our ML did not. His character also definitely enlightens you: not everyone can be feeling and expressive of their emotions, and from what I remember he was honest and frank about what he THOUGHT he needed and what he didn't. But eventually, as time passes, you can see how he will slowly fall for her and realise how her persistent presence fills up a large portion of his 'empty' life. As oppose to his blunt and uncaring personality from the start, he starts to show very VERY subtle interest and attentiveness - and that from an audience's point of view was MIND BLOWING. It created all these very monumental moments that helped develop their romantic relationship ... if that makes sense.

I saw your other post about Jin Hwan's character. All I can say is Jin Hwan's character in the Chinese version was honestly the biggest goofball - the kind of character that brings in the laughs and humour. Don't remember him being exactly clingy in the drama ... more of a hopeless romantic.

Its pretty obvious that rona will react much stronger if yoonhae starts an affair with Dantae... Her mother will…
omg if that actually happens ... fml we would just see more scenes of bae ro na just acting up again and rebelling against her mother. like as if we've not seen enough of those yet

Why do u think like that?
Im just finding it incredibly ODD how quiet Min Hyuk's character is atm. You see each child interact with their parents and you get to see all these different parent-child relationships and family dynamics. However, we dont get to see any scenes, or story, long dialogues even, between him and his parents .. like at all (?? - unless i missed something).

You can argue that he is not 'an important character' and that is why the drama has not yet focused on him and his background and story .. but if that was the case then that makes him a pretty pointless character. I dont think his presence in the group of rich kids, as well as in this drama, is meant to be purposeless and that is why I am suspicious of him. We see him taking videos when abuse happens but dont tell me thats the sole intention the writers had for his role in this drama.

I am also suspicious of the current direction of this drama - how its pointing fingers at legit nearly everyone (adults + children) but him. We can give reasonable explanations for Jenny and her mum for not being the mastermind behind this murder, but we dont even know Min Hyuk's weaknesses (or his character as a whole). With the recent twists and turns of events, I see it very probable that it could be him and that is why theyre hiding his character so we wont figure out his possible motives for Min Seol Ah's death. You feel me ?

I was thinking Ha Eun Byul is involved somehow too because she was wearing white lace at the party and I saw a…
hahah yeah the eps later would show Eun Byul's involvement that night but dont think its her - i feel like she would have broke down and told her parents (if she did actually do it) so that they can fix the problem for her.

Hey there! Do you think its possible that they'll give us a bae ro na and seokhoon love line?
hope not, i found ro na so annoying during these last few eps. seokhoon's character is also very questionable .. i had hopes in him initially but his partake in seola's incident at the car took it all away
