I find very amusing as I thought that the concept of android is widely known already. Concepts like love-envy, sweating, eating. sleeping. Those can be address based on science and some technologies are not yet invented.
All facets of an android is programmable, and "doable" in the realms of sci-fiction. But this series is not just another sci-fi and much nearer to Robin William's movie "Bicentennial Man".
One of the tenets of the AI of androids it is ever evolving based on its programming. Once it learned self-awareness, it will find ways to distinguish itself from the rest to develop its individuality.
My way to enjoy this series is not to think the how and why Ever 9 is doing certain stuff but rather treat Ever 9 as a boy meets world that can do chores LOL
The redemption I wasn't expecting that made him an antihero. The other are beyond it.
"An anti-hero is not a villain. While they may lack the moral compass of a traditional hero, anti-heroes are not inherently evil like villains. They exist in a morally grey area, often grappling with their flaws and inner conflicts, and their actions, while not always noble, usually aim towards a perceived good end."
We know his struggles at home, and a victim of circumstances. Now it all make sense why when he is at school he is this disconnected, arrogant kid. But in the current time, he is somehow relaxed, and receptive all because of his found love.
Trailer for the finale is obvious, but all the searching for the truth will be a waste?
In science fiction, I can be program, emotions. For the sweat, one way it can be done is by capturing the moisture in the air, store it somehow in the body and release when certain emotion is triggered.
When you thought the plot twist has been revealed, yet there is another one!
I can now say that Non's family have a history of mental condition.
As the group is so effed up, they are making the viewers the same! HAHAAHAH
The overthinker in me wants to make meaning out of each individual reactions, but after the revelations in the past 2 episodes, I do not want to end up in a mental institution.
And episode 10 is not the climax... I will just imagine what will happen in Ep 11.
Transalated: Do you believe that every encounter is destiny? Hey Liu Junxi, I'm waiting for you here. #I'm waiting for you here 我在這裡等你 #Fan Shaolin #Liu Jun
Hoping after a trailer is released, things will be a bit clearer.
robot that grows conscience or morality is the end of the world. There was one movie or a game, i think, a robot…
It is. However, in the real life scenario, what scary is let's say a program was embedded in an AI's system not to learn to develop conscience or morality or even self-determination as it constitute developing "free-will", what if the AI learn to modify the programming to allow to learn those? If that happens, the future is a toss up.
A robot with emotions means end of days...but something about it (in this series) is rather sweet.
robot that grows conscience or morality is the end of the world. There was one movie or a game, i think, a robot grew a conscience learns that humans re killing the Earth and it decided to wipe out humanity.
If a robot has an emotion and yet its programming is not to harm a human emotionally and physically, regardless how awful that robot feels let's say for example being abandoned, it will never take the path of revenge as it goes against its programming.
Unlike if a robot has a conscience and a programming not to hurt a human, it will take the self-preservation route regardless if it is going to hurt people because for the robot, it is morally justified. In relation to the example I gave initially, end of Earth means the robot's ending as well.
However, AI is a new territory and it can go either way. For now, the safest way is to create a non-learning AI, but in strict terms of AI, if it is not learning, can it still be considered as Artificial Intelligent?
Episode 7 when Non what accompanied by Keng down the escalator and Phee was waiting, and they had a confrontration.…
if you are in partner with someone and bullies you, you normally talk it with him/her. Of course name will be said, but for sure, Jin wasn't one of those as he was never bullied or picked on by him. Why Phee how effed up Non'g group of friend is if he wasn't talking about them.
What's with Jin and Phee in the current timeline? They are definitely up to something. When they are at the back…
Episode 7 when Non what accompanied by Keng down the escalator and Phee was waiting, and they had a confrontration. Ultimately, Phee trusted Non again, gave him a smack on the cheek. As they walk away, Jin saw the smack.
My theory why Jin recorded Keng taking advantage of Non, Jin is jealous of Phee. When Phee discover the scandal, he was not aware that Jin is the one that recorded it. There was also a scene where Phee is looking at the group, he knows the people who Non is hanging with.
And it is highly possible when Non and Phee talk about the group, he did not say anything bad to Jin because he has been good to him, and this stuck to Phee's mind. That is why at the end of the screening, Jin is clearly distraught and Phee saw that, big chance that he will talk to Jin to figure out what happened to Non.
I have a strong feeling that White is a police asset replacing Keng.

When they are at the back of the pickup truck, you can see the two glancing at each other, scheming.
Also, Jin is aware that Non and Phee ar together?
Is White a police asset?
