there were a lot of deleted scenes in the final episode that should have lasted for 2hrs. Nut didn't get over Tofu that fast and if you notice, Nut's mom, is mostly out of the scene because ... i don't want to spoil.

Nut suffered a lot after the death of Tofu and took time before he recovers.

Also, Mrs. Na deteriorated drastically as well.

I read it as well the cut scenes were 2 episodes worth. This actually make sense as Ep 16 looks like a mashed up scenes. I earnestly believe that Nut didn't return to Tarn that easily as well as his character is like that. When he loves, he loves deeply, and when he experience pain from that love, it will take a while before he can get back to his feet.

Also that running Teddy Bear is cute, I feel somehow is out of place. Feels like it was a replacement.

And I watched In Sarin YT Channel, the has BTS video of this series which was posted a year ago.

If it won't be explained, one reason I can think of is that Neung is familiar to Nut and it was through Neung that he was able to know Tarn. It will be utterly weird if Tofu looks like as Tarn.

This is also a possibility after I saw that as well. Could it be that they need to come to an agreement who can come back to Nut? If that is the case, if Tarn will go back it would be as Tofu as well if he want to return in their present. When Neung died, it was Tarn that gave Tofu to Nut for the latter not to feel lonely. Tarn is a big bro to Nut. As of Ep 8, it looks like there was never a Neung-Nut nor a Tarn-Nut. But definitely there will be a Tofu-Nut.

Given that, that is why:
the human Tofu looks like Neung
and
Tofu's personality is like of Tarn, the caring, protective, always there to comfort.
