Director that helmed "Dew the Movie", "Grean Fictions" (where Fiat, Pluem and Jaylerr started their showbusiness career) and the iconic, perhaps the grandfather of Thai BL, "Love of Siam", kinda far from the genre of the 3 I mentioned. But I am still looking forward to this.

Have MaxTul ever won any awards? I'm curious about awards like 'Best couple', 'Best kiss scenes'. I can't seem…
Yes that is sad... Because they lack the backing of a giant company?

Can the HS story be dropped and just start with their uni lives? Yes, story-wise. However, their HS story gives depth to Pai and Itt's respective character. Those years gives meaning in what Itt is trying to do Pai during their uni lives. They could have shortened the HS scenes and focused on what Itt been through for Pai and Pai to Itt; and Pai is starting to "grow".

Waan and Pure, I know they are support for Pai and Itt, respectively. But they should haven't interacted more than necessary. Let's be honest here, they were a handful moment when Waan and Pure is instrumental to Pai-Itt in their HS and uni lives and it should have stopped there. The key scenes where their character matter the most.

Given a shortened HS lives, it has the chance for the side couple relationship to grow. But it seems that it was hasten, introduced far too late in the series. One of the actors for the side couple is a seasoned actor and by no means his partner is not to up the challenge, in fact, I was surprised that he can go head to head, acting wise.

Take for example Love By Chance. Main couple is Ae-Pete and the side is Tin-Can. Tin support Pete, Can supports Ae... on important scenes. And the two relationship were able to flourish and four characters each in their own.

This is actually the perennial problem of having too many cast members. Surely, one or two or couple of characters will be underdeveloped. Especially if they are going to do a classic Thai Bl with a main and a side couple. From Make it Right up until to this series, that kind of setup still prevails.

What "I Told Sunset About You" and "Like in the Movies" have in common? By the way, the two are the BL series that is Top Rated here in MDL in their respective countries. And both has only have one couple, the main. And the other support cast are acting as support. Not stealing scenes from the main couple.

If Thai BL series decide to continue to make a main and side couples, follow suit what has been HIStory is doing since Crossing the Line to Trapped to Make Our Days Count.

Acting. It is given that Fiat can hold his own and I am surprised how JJ become so at ease in front of the camera, "overnight". Win's acting is given since his character demands for him to toned down comparing his character in "The Stranded". Marc's character as Itt and Viking are on opposite side of the spectrum, he is better with the "antagonist" role but it doesn't mean that he can't do well in romantic roles, he can. Though he needs polishing. Aun... He is someone to look forward to.

Best endings for me are the open-ended ones.

You make your own ending. It doesn't force you into something that you don't like. There is a sense of creative freedom. Like you have given all the ingredients and it is up to you what dish would you like to cook and eat.

Plus, it leaves a hope for a sequel.

Learned the lesson a decade ago not to fall in love with someone who isn't out of the closet.

Just when you thought that Teh is gunning for the A-hole of the year, then he did the unthinkable!

It was a gut punch after the other until towards the end, just right about the episode to be finished is the biggest curve ball. I thought I would only see one.

I thought Time was there to recruit an older gifted class (the 6 Tee's whose memories were erased). Good thing his name is T-Bone.

Title I Told Sunset about You Spoiler
For the longest time, I am constantly contemplating the meaning behind the title. For some, a sunset is an ending,…
"And I also said I'd run before sunset. So I'd be able to shout to the sun that I finally made it."

Teh:
"What if you get unlucky, running and not seeeing the sunset, you'll have to keep running until you see one, huh?"

With the exchange of lines between the two, you can think one of two things. Is Oh thinking of his dream? Or a boy who is sitting next to him?

When
Oh-aew said,
"It's up to the destiny. But I think luck is always on my side."

That is when everything becomes clear as the day supported by the succeeding lines Oh told Teh.

For the longest time, I am constantly contemplating the meaning behind the title. For some, a sunset is an ending, of the day. And for others a beginning of the night. The first would be a tragic ending, the second is something good is born out of the darkness.

I was thinking, what he telling sunset? Not to come yet? Or, can you hurry up please?

Then came along Ep 3... Oh-aew said:

If you weren't crushed by Episode 7, I am not sure if you're still a human. This episode is too emotional for me that I won't analyze the details. It's enough to feel it one time and trying to think what happened in the episode, it's like reliving the pain, all over again.

If you know how to filter the search here in MDL, you would find that

currently, "Like in the Movies" is the top rated and top ranked drama (series) in the Philippines. Beating Gameboys.

Well, I was a huge Gameboys fans, and when I watched Episode 1 of this series, I know they are on into something big, very big.

With only 2 main actors and a handful of recurring characters, Like In The Movies manages to focus on the couple, showed how each of the two grows and evolved, individually and together. With their acting that exudes chemistry you would think that they are a veteran in the entertainment industry.

But I must admit, how they started is a a cliche. Case in point, My Tee/`Cause Your My Boy & 2Gether. But hey, a cliche is a cliche because it works. This is no exception. Yes, Vlad and Karl started like Sarawat and Tine because of a "need" but the similarity stops there, as Like in the Movies took a different path. As one taught the other on how to accept and the other taught how to move on and be open to infinite possibilities. And that is the gem of this series, each makes the other a better man.

I think Pure doesn't know Waa is after Beau first while try to keep Pai for Itt.. but really fall for folks and…
It actually started with the trip-fall-catch-stare of Pure and Folk. That time, Pure become curious about Folk. You can see in Pure's eyes that he was surprise that he felt something. Fiat being a seasoned actor, that look is deliberate.

He still believes in Itt-Pai and Itt being he best friend, he will do everything for them to get back together. And Pure knows that Itt loves Pai dearly. It is just Itt is too proud to open his heart to Pai. Can't blame him, he practically took care of his mom and when she died, he is defending his emotions not to be hurt again. It so obvious that what he is doing in their college life is what he did in their high school life, Pai to be more confident about himself.

The question now, is Folk the person who will make the player hangs his jersey and call it game over and a life of fidelity? I guess we can find out in Ep 10 if he reall indeed turn a new page.

Acting is top-level for Billkin and PP. They manage to let the audience/viewers feel what they are feeling. They connect with each other and with the viewers. You can feel Teh's heartbreak, sadness and Oh's confusion. Happiness and excitement from both of them.

What adds to the mood is the music, every time you hear BK singing in the background it is as if that is what he is feeling in the series.

On top of that, the cinematography. Rustic, raw, not-so-urbanized. It adds the effect of that you are with them.

At this point, I really don't care who ends up with whom. I am here for the story and does not have a goal or outcome or ending in mind. After all, sometimes, the journey is better than the destination.

Judit: I'm waiting.

Judit: Why just on the cheeks? What's that?

Judit: Are you kissing your grandkid? There's even a sniff. One more time. Lovingly. Put in some emotions.

Vlad kiss Karl with more force and sound.

Judit: The other side.

Vlad kiss Karl 3 times consecutively

Judit: On the forehead.

The first time Judit said it means, down below. And when she said "ba-ba", it means the chin.

Vlad: This is the last time.

Judit: Really?

For me, the most iconic scene of the episode.

Vlad: "What are you thinking?"
Karl: "I don't want to think anymore"

with that upbeat song in the background... so classy!

I always like your comments! I really enjoyed the kids, they are great actors!
If you're going to check your review of "The Gifted" and check my Reviews, that is the very first time that I did a review.

And the succeeding reviews I did either is the most helpful or the 2nd most helpful.

Like I said, I have you to thank for it.

Actually, you're the one that inspired me to do Reviews, to be critical without being biased.
