I've seen more than two comments implying that Ray wants a pity party or that he is manipulating people with his depression & substance abuse... I find this rhetoric very disturbing to be quite frank.
Mental health is a real thing. People with PTSD (like Ray) are at a high risk of developing substance use disorder. He needs help. I absolutely cannot fathom how people think that being mentally ill makes you a terrible person who is vying for pity.
That being said, Ray is definitely messed up. Kissing Mew without consent was a big NO. Absolutely no way I'm defending that. He immediately apologized & then apologized the next day as well & seemed to have sincerely reflected on it. That being said, I'm still not going to defend his behaviour on this front. You do not just disregard consent like that no matter what your excuse is. Besides that, his dynamics with Sand might turn sour because Ray has shown to be very unstable with his emotions & tends to be self destructive. I'm quite sure that he is going to take down Sand with him unless there is proper intervention by some sort of professional. That's usually how it goes. You can't "fix" people & I think that is a wake up call that Sand will eventually get. Ray's mental health gives an explanation for his turbulent relationships but doesn't absolve him from responsibility. He has to be held responsible for everyone he brings down along with him. That's for sure.
Ray might be manipulative, but I think everyone is manipulative to a certain extent, not only in this show, but also in real life. Maybe he might turn out to be much more manipulative later (not ruling out the possibility of a cluster B personality disorder yet).
However, saying that he abuses drugs, alcohol & is suicidal for attention or pity is just unacceptable to me. When has he ever used these things as a way to manipulate or blackmail someone? I absolutely cannot fathom how people reached this conclusion. There is a clear lack of empathy for people struggling with mental health and it hurts me to see that.
I dont know. Ray already seems to be an alcoholic a nd has suicidal tendencies. Is that his form of manipulation…
Wait are you saying Ray being alcoholic & having suicidal ideations/attempting suicide are a form of manipulation?? Because of that's what you mean then it's a terrible thing to say. I hope I'm just comprehending this incorrectly & that's not what you actually mean.
I didn't enjoy their relationship in eclipse or moonlight chicken. But before watching those shows I watched tonton…
I haven't been following you around??? How did you even reach to that conclusion?? Please be serious lmao💀
Every. Single. Comment. About SandRay or FirstKhaotung I saw while scrolling has you in the replies. I wasn't actively seeking you out. You just keep appearing in all discussions related to them. Even when people are praising them, you're in the replies talking about how you don't like them.
There are many people on here who have different opinions & they don't bother me. I've been reading comments & discussing things with others.
However, seeing one person say the same thing over and over again everywhere is annoying. You aren't bringing in anything new to the conversation by writing pretty much the same thing in the replies of every comment.
See how there are other people saying they don't like SandRay & I'm not calling them out for it? I'm specifically calling YOU out.
Seeing the same thing everywhere is annoying. It's weird & obsessive. Like my goodness! Two or three times is still a lot but I'd have just ignored it by giving you the benefit of the doubt.
I don't care about wanting to change your mind. I'm not an ambassador for these characters or actors. If you don't like someone's acting or chemistry then that's okay. It's a subjective opinion. I might share my perspective but we can still agree to disagree.
My problem isn't with you not feeling SandRay. You're saying the same freaking thing in every comment. If you can't see why your behaviour is irritating then suit yourself. However if you aren't bringing anything new to the conversation & parroting the same thing then yes, it's uncanny & tiresome.
I'm sorry, but Mew & Top are redious (except for when Top has his shirt off, which will never get old). Mew was…
I think it would be weirder if RaySand HAD romantic chemistry. They barely know each other, they aren't even friends. Ray quite literally bought Sand's time. They both are going through their personal issues. Ray is a lonely alcoholic with mommy issues who is looking for an escape. Sand is struggling to make ends meet & maybe other stuff that hasn't been revealed about him yet. The only reason they have sex is because they come from opposite worlds & find each other intriguing & attractive. Most importantly, they were incredibly horny. They're both clear about their intentions & aren't looking for any sort of romance. It's just pure physical desire on their part. Romance might become a thing later, depending on how their relationship develops, but till what we've seen (episode 2), they couldn't care less about each other outside the transactional relationship they have at the moment.

Your dislike for FirstKhao pairing is intense. I see you talking about how much you dislike them/SandRay in almost every recent comment I've read here. Even when people are praising them, you're in the comments talking about how much you don't like them lol
That's an awful lot of time to spend on a couple you dislike so much. It's lowkey getting annoying seeing you in replies of every comment saying the same thing over & over again . We get it. You really hate the pairing. You can give it a rest now.
I'm unsure what you are aiming for yourself, tbh. This is two episodes in; it's quite possible that the themes…
As for acting, this has some of the best acting performances, especially when compared to most Thai BLs. To me, the performances are quite compelling & refined. However, this is my personal opinion, so to each their own. I can only speak for myself.

Most of these storylines are based on real queer stories. The writers have themselves mentioned that they've taken parts of their personal experiences while writing the script. Social commentary isn't really the point of this series. These are just real stories of complicated & messy relationships. It's a story by queer people, for queer people. I don't know why you say it has been done before because I can't think of any drama that shows raw & real portrayals of destructive people & convoluted relations. This hasn't been done before, at least not in the context of queer relationships.
It might not be relatable for many people & I can see how it really isn't everyone's cup of tea. However, I think this is a show that targets a more mature audience who can relate to these experiences (to varying degrees). I think most people in their mid to late 20s might see themselves or people they know in these characters. Again, this might not be relatable for everyone but it is relatable to many.
I don't think anyone is generalizing this as an accurate depiction of an entire community. Not every queer story has to be about making some sort of political/social/moral statement or be the beacon of "proper representation". People in the community are individuals beyond their sexuality. We aren't a monolith. We are people shaped by our experiences & interactions & have dubious morals like every other human being.
Note: There have been portrayals of problematic relationships, but there is a stark difference between a show that is self aware about it's toxicity & plays into it vs a show that romanticizes toxic relationships & abuse.
This was really good but for me, personally, it could not dethrone 'Right or wrong'. I think Crossing. The line is more of a hit with the younger audience and Right or wrong is more of a hit with a more mature audience. I might be wrong, but that's my general observation.
