I thought it was cute!
Annoying to watch on a platform that showed it in micro-episodes, but I thought it was cute--and the scene with Jaehon in the school hallway (you'll know the one) had me YELLING. For a simple university BL story it was endearing and entertaining--it's not high art, but the actors give it their all and I was definitely entertained. I even sat around and gathered the virtual coins so I could watch it uninterrupted. If you can watch it easily, it's a fun short to see.Was this review helpful to you?
worth it for Gong Yoo alone
I have to start this by saying I have been a victim of marriageinfidelity, really really bad infidelity—so I am never somebody that ever wants to see a show that has that to do with it. That said.—Gong Yoo was absolutely magical in this movie and he makes watching it worth it just because he carries so much in single glances and micro expressions and struggles with his emotions and it’s just worth it to watch him as an actor. It also helped some of the pent-up energy from goblin, to see him actually follows through on some of his more adult inclinations. This is all to say the story is OK. I actually didn’t hate it. It ended the way I think it had to end despite what anybody might’ve wanted, and again I can’t give it a 10 because the topic normally would turn me away, but It is just a joy to watch anything that he is in. If you are a fan of this wonderful man, don’t miss this movie. Was this review helpful to you?
This Was Brilliant
I am still trying to wrap my head around how good this was. And deal with being REALLY ANNOYED that there were not 10 more episodes. Half the dramas I watch are 20 eps that should have been 12, and this one I was begging for more. There were no misses here. Brilliant writing, unbelievable acting, beautiful cinematography. The only thing it suffered from was not enough time to explore the character stories more deeply--there were clearly back stories and trauma influences and such that could have been part of the story without dragging or changing the through line at all.
I cannot say enough about Lim Ji-sub. He gives an acting masterclass here--his microexpressions, his body language, what he says without speaking is breathtaking at times. Both ML commit to the characters, commit to the truth of the love story, and don't shy from the tough parts of the story. The chemistry is fantastic, and the romance scenes deliver truth and are shot using light, music, shadow....just gorgeous.
It is a shame that stories like this aren't more mainstream. This was a showpiece for every actor involved--the secondary characters were built as real people, none of them were caricatures or just trope fodder, they struck me as real people dealing with life at this age, and I ended up caring about all of them by the end.
Absolute kudos to the writers, to the actors for taking on a role that always runs the risk of typecasting, and for making someone almost 3 times their age alternately sob, laugh and hold her breath.
Watch it. You'll love Ji-sub, you'll love the story, you'll wish there was more.

Obsessed. I am OBSESSED.
I loved this. LOVED it. As an American, shows with BL are more common and easy to find, but this may be one of the best I have ever seen--ADORED the actors, cute story but honestly? The scene in the empty restaurant alone makes this one of the best BL dramas I have ever seen. Pretty sure I would walk to the ends of the earth for Park Seo-ham after that, because he is absolutely FIRE.I was actually sorry this wasn't a bit longer, and perhaps even more developed (both ML had plenty that could have been explored just based on their surface notes, the OCD of Sunwoo, the back story of Jae...I would have been more than happy to watch them for 16 episodes. Seo-ham hasn't done much that I can find but he's got a fan in me for good after this.
Trust me...the restaurant scene. It is literally EVERYTHING.

Just Brilliant.
I know I’m late to this, but I at least wanted to put a review up here for somebody who might be considering it because they are new to K drama like me. I was not planning to watch this, I am more a fan of romance, I don’t usually do things that are considered action or thriller, and I didn’t know these actors. I am so glad I took the chance. This is brilliant. The only reason that I gave it a 9.5 on story is because I really felt the last two episodes were rushed and did not fit with the rest of the series. They could have ended it much better and I’m not sure what that was about, but it was a little bit disappointing. It takes nothing away from the actors who were wonderful and a joy to watch. there were some episodes that I literally think I didn’t physically move for the entire hour, it was that compelling. I have to call out Ji Chang-wook because he is unbelievable in this, his Clark Kent/Superman thing was spot on and this being the first thing I have seen him, I am looking forward to the next show that features him. He is fantastic. It’s a great story, it follows a lot of the tropes that K drama is used, but in a good way and in an exciting way, and in a way that you fall in love with the characters and the story rather quickly. Really really glad I watched this absolutely plan to rewatch one day.Was this review helpful to you?
