Lin Fang Lu is not really a prominent character in the novel but there is a hint he likes her. They are classmates, but Nan Ya doesn't like him. His end up alone if I'm not mistaken.
After watching the first two episodes, I can conclude that the drama will be slightly different from the novel.
First and foremost, there is a huge change in how Nan Ya killed her husband. In the drama, it is shown that she killed her husband unintentionally using a knife to defend herself. It too early for me to judge but I hope the change will make the drama more interesing more dramatic. To be honest I like how Nan Ya killed her husband in the novel more since it was a really well-thought-out and seamless process but most importantly, she didn't even need to use her own hands to do it. She made it seem like a natural death, making it almost a "perfect crime." Nan Ya used her 'pawns' to escape. Yes, Zhou Lou one of her pawn.
Zhou Lou in the drama seems willing to help and assist Nan Ya on the crime scene that day. While in the novel Nan Ya purposefully lures Zhou Lou, who inadvertently assists her in fabricating an alibi. He was unaware of Nan Ya's crime. When the police officer questioned him, he remained composed and provided credible testimony. Because there is insufficient proof, the police are unable to charge Nan Ya plus she had an alibi on the day of the crime.
This was the build-up to the saddest breakup scene in the novel. Drama MUST include this scene if not, I will flip the table. I'm interested in how Zhang Xin Meng depicts this scene.
I don't mind if the drama is darker than the novel but at least give me a sweet fluffy interaction between Zhou Lou and Nan Ya too.
I haven't read the novel and I'm barely familiar with the plot, but it seems to me that both the leads are dark…
The drama did not show it, but based on the novel, at the very beginning, Zhou Lou was already fascinated by Nan Ya's body. You see, in ep. 2, the very first time he saw her in front of her store, he was screening not just her face but also her body.
The scene where she was beaten in ep. 2 is actually less extreme than it seems. In the novel, Nan Ya was stripping naked right before his very eyes. He saw her boobs as well as her private parts. Though he runs, he knows what kind of scene will happen afterward*. The scene profoundly stirred his inner desire. After that day, Zhou Lou had a strong sexual desire for Nan Ya. He even fantasized about having s*x with her.
(* After been beaten Nan Ya was raped by her husband out of jelousy)
I've almost never watched hyped dramas because most of them are not my genre. I believe there are two types of drama watchers: those who love the hype and those who hate it. Hype or not, for sure I don't like wasting my precious time on drama. I have my own rules while watching dramas:
1. Stick to what I love. 2. If they're good, complete it. 3. If they're bad, drop it.
@lakmalaberathe pity if you notice director has edited out Zhexiu aka wolf boy scenes because of banns over Korean actor in Chinese drama. In novel the owner of yellow paper umbrella was Su Li master of Li-Shan Sect not Zhou Dufu.
I'm sure there are few bootleg websites uploading novel translation (without permission) but if you want to find the original translation try search for Way of Choices Gravity Tales.
So far from novel translation I don't see Nan Ke shows any interest towards Chen Changsheng but from they first and last meeting in Zhou Garden Nan Ke very sure Chen Changsheng definitely not an ordinary man . On other hand I don't think Lady Mo Yu in love with Chen Changsheng yet, she merely admire him or I can say she's one of his fans. Speaking of Lady Mo Yu, in drama for sake of romance director ruin such interesting character make her weak and annoying af.
To someone who watching almost half of J-doramas on the list above I can't take this poll seriously.
Just my OP, Nanao as Tachibana Kara/Sachi in Siren is a best villain. She's freaking crazy bi#$@. In order to make herself "perfect", she makes a "perfect" plan.
Dorama that I'm not expect to be good turned out to be awesome..such a funny dorama, I can't stop laughing and more power to the girls, give the jerks a taste of their own medicine until they know how to respect woman.
Ha Ji Won is an exotic beauty to me. Other may consider she is not that beautiful but she has her own charm. In my eyes her beauty are incomparable to other.
