I enjoy it. Not sure about all the comments. it's not ground breaking but the little twists and turns are nice. so far pacing has been good for me. I haven't had to watch on 2x speed.

Oh no, I love xianxias but I agree. That childish acting FL has gotten extremely annoying. I hated Eternal Love of Dream because of that, I also dropped evernight 2, wasn't a fan of love and destiny, etc. It just completely ruins the show when the ML acts like normal and then you have the FL acting like a child. Any recs on other good xianxias?

Same. I really liked the plot. But the CGI was cringey, the costumes were cringey. It felt like a very low cost production but I had so much high hopes for the plot.

Yea I'm on ep 8 and I'm finding the main couple quite annoying and you're spot on about falling in love after a couple of days/weeks with little substance. I like it better when they create a relationship. The main couple is quite bland like you said. Second ML I also think is way hotter and their relationship so far is more interesting.

Is there going to be a season 2? they left the ending very open. I really want to see them older and stronger too

I mentioned this somewhere else but I thought the two leads had more of a sibling relationship. That's what they had for most of the show and when they inserted those romantic moments I just thought it was way weird. It felt off and kind of creepy since in my eyes he considered her his sibling/sister (maybe its a different context in china tho calling someone brother/sister but the way they acted most of the time gave off sibling vibes). I didn't like the ending- wished there was more and we got to see the fight between the supreme leader and his dad.

Just finished the show. It was decent. I liked xiao xhan in it. The CGI is super cringey and the effects but the overall storyline and plot I liked! I'll put some other thoughts in a spoiler below but if you like costume fantasy with minimal romance and a nice plot that delves into and explores the background of the skills- this is a good show.

Really?? I thought it was weird. I was getting sibling vibes for most of the show. And when they tried to insert those romantic moments- I just thought it didn't fit. I'd rather they be siblings than lovers honestly.

I'm going to try and watch ep 37 but why did ep 31-36 seemed so disjointed, rushed, more than half of the content is missing, holes in the storyline that was never addressed or they briefly mentions it? I know the beginning of ep 34 they tried to answer some of the questions but still?? Some things off the top of my head- the scorpion king had captured ah xiang and cao and the ghosts were working for the scorpion king but next thing you know apparently Wen ke xing made a deal with him? what deal? They were supposed to help ah xu with the nails in his body? there was a scene of him sitting under water? what every happened to that? Cheng ling's whole thing where he goes to his uncles and then finds out wen ke xing is the ghost king? that was pretty much glazed over and then out of nowhere he forgives him? When did the scorpion king decide to betray his dad and make a deal with wen ke xing? When did bai ye forgive wen ke xing for being the ghost kind? And this is just some of the stuff that popped into my head. The series did soooo well until ep 31-36...
