The preview for the current episode left me thinking they would spend the whole thing jealous and suspicious of each other. previews (especially these 15 second Japanese ones) zoom in on the most dramatic parts of the next episode and aim to leave you feeling like there is no way to resolve the coming conflict in the time allowed. I predict it will take at most 15 mins for the villain story arc to be found and caught leaving 8 mins of 'I do love you, here let me prove it by announcing it to the world' I will be unsurprised if the end credits roll right as they lean in to seal the deal we might get a few slice of life cooking/cleaning together type scenes during the end credits.

Just a few thoughts that crossed my mind during the last episode....

Where did Nakhuns shirt go? I'm not exactly complaining its a nice picture, but everyone else is in formal wear..... Why am I even asking we know what they do to shirts on this show?
It must be so embarrassing to be one to the guards having to watch all of this gooey cheesiness... why do they have to stand right there and watch it anyway isn't this their office/home? Shouldn't they be guarding the door?

So Nakhun gets to experience the nausea and cravings? well I guess since they share pain ... it would be so cool if guys had to deal with pregnancy symptoms.
Why is he crying were was the build up or trigger for that did I miss an episode or was it just that badly written... why am I even asking I know the answer.

All in all I am filing this one under: extremely bad but pretty enough to watch once please do not attempt to use a brain while watching this show.

Lovely, a main lead who can give a good smolder and that panicked word vomit was nothing to sneeze at either. Thourghly enjoyable.

These two are starting to get on my nerves. there is low self esteem and then there is Mayama digging downward to try to find his. Asamiya cleaned up his dumb moment just in time for the next trope to show up in the preview. (doesn't matter if it turns out to be sister or ex I'm pretty sure they will exaggerate it to the point of pain.)

platonically. you love the local mascot without wanting or expecting anything... like a fan type of love.

Well I enjoyed it. It was a little slower and more understated then the average but beautifully shot and professionally acted. Traditional Japanese communication issues abound. Not everyones cup of tea probably won't rewatch but if there is a second season or special episode I would definitely watch it.

standard Japanese kisses. Sofar... professional pecks most with camera angles adjusted so you don't realize they are just a little off center. It's more comedy of errors than torrid romance.

What in the drama school graduation project was that?!?!

I wasn't expecting anything great but did the director go completely AWOL for this episode? the sudden panic with no build up apparently 2 minutes after Rin walked off. ..... I thought we had relegated drunken molestation to villains. Are they villains or the 2nd pairing? Please make up your mind. ..... And sure first kisses are awkward but the exact same fumble on the second one? Did you lose the footage or could you only convince them to kiss once?


I have questions.

No clue about most of that ... just a vague sense from other shows that the word they translate as 'ghost' is applied to any and all supernatural beings. I think a werewolf would be called a 'ghost' too.

I like the way they filmed that intimacy scene. I have a bad feeling that Ken did something dumb shortly before he met James the first time and it's going to rip them up later. The rainbows end song is sung beautifully but oof those lyrics 🫤

This feels like they are using romance to shove history and poetry down your throat. I think the writing thought process was 'how do we show enough fluff and 🌶️ to get people to listen to the message'. It's not a bad effort but it does feel like some of the romance storylines are clunky afterthoughts shoved in to meet a quota. Maybe they'll tie everything together in a way that makes sense in the last couple episodes.

it's a common translation hiccup in Thai anyone who is older and relatively close relationship wise is called 'Phi' which more literally translated is elder/bigger it's an article like Mr/Mrs they almost always use one along with the persons name (kuhn: more formal phi/nong: friends cousins neighbors lovers) only extremely close relationships get the article dropped and not all of the time there. it is almost always translated brother because English has no equivalent. it can get confusing

Not sure how well that would have gone over in Japanese society. They expect 6 year olds to walk to school and start small grocery trips alone. Being reliant on others is viewed with extreme distaste.

I like that this version makes the acting scenes obvious ... having it a little ambiguous in the original was fun in a different way but I think I prefer the clarity.
