i genuinely cannot fathom how everyone but their mom can't tell them apart. their mannerism tone and attitude are soso different a mom of 30 years should atl have doubts. they're trying so hard to give her a redemption arc but not recognizing one twin from the other just overshadows everything else for me. and even though she wasn't attentive when they were babies. after their father died she took care of them for like 20 years and she still doesn't know their individual personality ?

i’ve noticed that hosu tends to make every issue about himself but not in a narcissistic way. it’s more like he genuinely believes that everyone’s problems somehow revolve around him. and honestly, that might be worse than narcissism.

the moment it really clicked for me was when miji lied about being employed. it was clear that she was dealing with her own insecurities, not because she didn’t want to make hosu look bad or anything like that. i’m glad she eventually admitted it.

and with his mom, it just broke my heart. he’s hurting her by only considering his own feelings, while believing he’s doing what’s best for her. he’s so focused on his own guilt and perspective that he completely overlooks what she wants.

it’s not vanity- it’s this guilt-driven self centeredness that makes him think he’s the cause of everyone’s choices. sometimes people are just struggling on their own, and the world isn’t always orbiting around him. he really is self absorbed
