I feel like it is to keep the ratings stable. the show isn't all that great, you know with great acting & all that it just has a compelling storyline & the Chemistry between the leads are firee, enough to satisfy people for 12 episodes. Now if the eps were longer then it'd have lost its value by now- You know how makjangs are by now the female lead would still be dense & thats a turn off. So 12 eps is perfect, the person who came up with the idea is a GENIUS. Plus noone wants to feel hatred for certain characters for that long😩 i definitely do not.

TRHC was my first ever family drama with more than 20 eps. And I honestly have PTSDDD. that's why I didn't even look in the way of LYOL cus noo I can't deal with dramas that evoke the wrong the emotions in me. So im never watching another "soap" drama like this- first impression matters alot & it seems like all of 'em go down the same rail if not exactly but STILL. I hope that one doesn't go down for you as with TRHC :)
